This whole Mandelson mess started with Starmer trying to flatter and appease Trump.

If the Prime Minister had stood firm with our allies instead, he might not be in this mess now.

On top of everything else, the level of 'embattled' behaviour going on with senior ministers and their comfort zone of lashing out of their traditional supporters shows the government is both in disarray and denial.

We’re in the truly weird position where McSweeney had to go for giving the PM the advice to appoint Mandelson and Robbins had to go for not stopping him.

The focus on the vetting process for Mandelson is astonishing. The vetting is a red herring. Everyone knew he was a wrong 'un. Nobody needed a vetting process to tell them the obvious, that appointing him to that role was totally inappropriate. Vetting isn’t a get out of jail free card for Starmer.

Must have ADHD kitchen tool! Especially if you have any level of time blindness. If your leftovers or pre-prepped stuff has a piece of tape with the date on it, you don’t have to remember how old it is! And the roller dispenser removes that extra layer of friction. You gotta get one.
