I don’t think it’s insane, it’s the phones. The average person doesn’t rationalize things as statistics, they respond to things they can see and algorithmic video is full of videos of crime and unruly cities that they interpret as things getting worse because they’re seeing it more on their phones.

We're going bowing!
this is, hands down, the best video I've seen on men's influencer content and it's not close either
I'm a little surprised Drive isn't on here.
Got down in our house's crawl space to remove a dead rat not once, but twice the week of Thanksgiving
Fight the Empire.
When people say, "reject modernity, embrace tradition", this is what I imagine.
We may never know the lives we would have saved or the innovations we would have made if cuts to science research go through.
Gov. Tim Walz State Address: "We have university students shoved into unmarked vans and fathers being tossed into Salvadorian gulags without a hint of due process. If you say you love freedom, but you don't believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love isn't freedom, it's privilege."
I see more people flying with their pets these days and I have to wonder who are these people and who are these pets, all my pets are chaos demons and if I put any of them on a plane they would chew straight through the fuselage in order to escape
When they tell you their plans, believe them.
One major problem that no one yet seems willing to address: The only way out of this is likely also extraconstitutonal.
The constitution has built in checks and balances, but creates no reliable mechanism to address someone who has captured all three branches and then ignores the constitution.

One day during the COVID lockdown, I found my old burned mix cds from high school and tried to recreate them as playlists on Spotify. I was able to find about 95% of the songs but there were a handful from random garage bands that uploaded their songs to the internet just aren't available anymore.
An Alabama mom hit by the Bourbon Street attacker's truck then shot in the attack, who still has a bullet lodged in her foot, told a @nolanews.bsky.social reporter that the Amazon warehouse where she works denied her request for a leave of absence.
Oof, that would be soul crushing. Sounds like you got a cool new gig though!
If you don't mind me asking, what's it like being an environmental engineer? I applied for a few environmental engineering jobs back in the day and always wondered what it was like. For background, my education is in meteorology, but I ended up in Aerospace doing atmospheric profiles.
I love my current career, but I always thought in another life I'd have a career in music production/audio engineering. I love how you can tell who produced a record by the way it "sounds" and I'd like to think I could produce albums that would have my own signature sound.

Never in a million years would I guess this correctly.
