Here are some of the day’s top developments: Trump has said that US forces have taken custody of an Iranian-flagged vessel that tried to get through the US blockade of Iranian ports. Iran’s military confirmed an attack claimed by the US military on a ship returning from China, vowing it will “retaliate soon”. Iranian state media is reporting that Tehran is not currently planning to attend talks with the US, citing the ongoing blockade as well as Washington’s shifting positions and “excessive demands”. It comes after Trump ordered US negotiators to travel to Pakistan on Monday, just days before a two-week ceasefire expires.

It can't be faked. The most important candidates will be from rising generations, speak in clear uncanned language, use new media in new ways, embrace new language and imagery, and most importantly be for big, bold, clear new ideas--and be believable when they say they can make change happen.

Note to my fellow Dems: The 2026 and 2028 elections will be "change" elections. But mere promises to change or talking points about change won't do the trick. Candidates need to embody change. They need to be the change we want to see. It's not about a position. It's about who they are.

I love that Trump is bragging about the U.S. military subduing an Iranian cargo ship. Great job! The largest military in the world somehow disabled an unarmed, slow ship that was carrying stuff. Interesting flex.
