Not my opponent sitting behind me at my job. How does he have time to come to the TN State House amidst the national crises we are facing? DC is in shambles. The president needs to be impeached and the 25th amendment needs to be invoked but he is here shaking hands and greeting Republicans.

Trump is an egregious threat to our country and the world. This is beyond politics—he and his followers have lost sight of the humanity and dignity in human life. It is deeply immoral and unconscionable to threaten to commit genocide. #invokethe25thamendment

Three years ago today, I stood before a TN House filled with hostile Republicans bent on disenfranchising tens of thousands of District 86 residents because I protested against their inaction and unwillingness to stop the gun violence epidemic in Tennessee.

Last night, @justinjpearson.bsky.social reminded @deanobeidallah.bsky.social that Memphis still has National Guard troops in the city, but there is still an epidemic of gun violence that could be solved by addressing poverty.

Ignore them! We are fighting for the soul of our country and for our democracy.  It will take each of us standing up for what’s right to win. See you at No Kings this Saturday, Memphis!

Showing up matters, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. There are some elected officials who believe sitting in wood-paneled offices and writing strong letters are enough. There are some who try to belittle the power of organizing, protesting and our right to assemble.

Hegseth needs to be held accountable, and there must be a full investigation into these actions by the House and the Senate.

I can’t believe it has been a year since my middle brother, my protector, my one year and four-month older twin, passed away from this life to life eternal. I really don’t have the right words to express it.
