So naturally I decided to force myself to shoot a whole roll with it to get more comfortable with it so I can shoot it more often. Fun fact, the images don't actually cover a full 35mm frame. The 180 degree image is completely contained within a 23mm circle on the film.

By far one of the coolest lenses I own, but never really shoot because it's hilariously impractical. 7.5mm fisheye. 180 degree field of view. The lens actually protrudes into the camera body so you can only shoot it with the mirror locked up and an external finder (that doesn't cover 180 degrees).

I don't really like doomscrolling on here so I'm just gonna pop in every so often and post some weird camera shit and disappear before I get tempted to get sucked into actually scrolling.

Last night @grolar.bsky.social hosted a little darkroom party and man I forgot how much fun doing real prints with an enlarger is. I really need to find a space to set up at least one of mine again.

One thing I didn't factor into working remote is that for the first time in my adult life I don't have access to a printer at work or school to abuse.

I've made it this far in life without ever having owned a printer but I am afraid I'm going to finally have to cave 😭

Oh don’t get me wrong I 100% agree with you. I just feel like it’s weird to exclude flight attendants when we’re expected to tip so many others in lower effort jobs when it’s an actual high effort job dealing with a bunch of people you’re stuck in a tube in the sky with.

On the other hand, I guess it means the ones that are good are simply doing it for the love of the game, which I deeply respect.

It’s kind of wild to me that tipping culture doesn’t extend to flight attendants. Like a good FA can totally make or break a flying experience and it would be profoundly weird if I just handed them five bucks or whatever.

I cannot decide between the safe thing or the shiny thing. The startup would also be remote, which would be cool. Plus a bunch of travel to Colorado where they're actually based. But like. Money and stability seem nice too. I don't know!

One is going back to big corporate aerospace for a big pile of money, and a lead title. Way less travel, probably way less stressful.

The other is a startup for a lot less money but a bunch of equity. Also tons of travel and probably very stressful. But way more aligned with my ideal trajectory.

My efforts to get a new job have paid off but now I have two offers I cannot decide between aaaaaaaaaa I know this is the *good* problem to have but they're very apples to oranges jobs

Every few months I get a random desire to use some sort of social media again so I guess here we are. I will probably be back for maybe two days and depart again.

I had to kill off the rest of a roll of 16mm 50D in the Arriflex so naturally I just used it to film playing with my cat.

I don't have a lot of positive things to say about Sleep Token but one thing I can say is that because a lot of dating apps let you share the music you like, it's a really convenient immediate red flag for a left swipe.
