We had perfect, warm weather for marching against Trump and Musk and their catastrophic agendas.

A mile south of the route, people began to gather and head to the site with their signs and banners.

Portland showed up by the thousands for today’s #HandsOff march in downtown. We lined the bridges, and we closed SW Naito Parkway for many blocks. A trucker, stuck on an on-ramp due to our march, honked in unison with our slogans. It was peaceful. To the cautious: come out and join us!

Even in a cold February there are buds on the flowering maple shrub in my garden.

This photo shows sunlight filtering through the upright buds on daffodils on my neighbors’ front lawn. It won’t be long now.

It’s been cold and dry, but the rains are returning in northwest Oregon. There are a few buds on the roses in my backyard, and the flowering maple, planted last summer, persists in flowering right through February. Daffodils are preparing to unfurl. I will emulate their tenacity! 🌸🪻🌷
