A musician playing a guitar in sugarcane that is somehow in the middle of a football field
First shot: sugarcane
The backbone of Puerto Rico's agricultural economy since colonial times
Still used to make rum of course!

I love the cringe, the dad jokes, the adorable doggos, the chonky bebes, the energy, the elders, youth, the earnestness, the patriotism, the love, the anger... THIS IS MY AMERICA GOD BLESS WHAT WE COULD BE
Portait of a woman covered in sludge. Only her arms are uncovered. But within the sludge, her face and body are partially visible, revealing a floral pattern on her face and body, pink and white flowers on blue background. This is a repaint of an illustration I did a decade ago. In the original there in equal sign superimposed at the bottom of the canvas. The equal sign is still there, but it is empty now.
A world without Trans people has never existed, and it never will. More than visibility, we need safety 🏳️⚧️

Screenshot of a tweet from Mike Luckovich informing people that this his cartoon was taken down by Twitter/X due to violation of guidelines. The cartoon shows Elon Musk with bags of money behind him. Standing in front of him are three emaciated figures holding empty bowls that read "World's poorest." Musk is saying to them: "No more free lunch!"
So much for free speech. Let's make this cartoon by @mluckovich.bsky.social go viral.
I'm married to @tealcartoons.bsky.social so I might be biased, but cartoons have long played a vital role in shaping political debate - both past and present. This type of censorship is deeply troubling.
