"Tiny Beautiful Things" is pretty solid but jesus, does it have one of the *least* realistic therapists I've ever seen on television (and that's saying a lot).

Always be rude to fascists. Be rude, be vulgar, and laugh at them when they cry their shitty little crocodile tears over it. By now, everyone can probably see why it's important to do so, yes?

Got it. One of my biggest annoyances is that it defaults to auto-play when you click on an episode in the "Listen Now" section but I want to know what's on the episode before it starts playing. I'd rather it default to the Latest Episodes page. You'd think you could set that but...no.

I don't love Apple Podcasts either but I'm curious what are your primary nitpicks with it?

The Supreme Court Has Killed Affirmative Action. Mediocre Whites Can Rest Easier. The court ended one of our most effective social justice policies because anything that isn’t seen to primarily benefit white people is anathema to this country.

I invite you to read every word of this important and searing column by Elie Mystal.

But as much as "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was one of the most perfect movies of my youth, the franchise would have been better off just ending after 3. These last two haven't been added value for the viewer IMO.

The de-aging/deep fake work on Ford was incredibly well-done (oddly, if anyone suffered from uncanny valley-dom, it was Mads). And did I mention that Phoebe was pretty great? She pulled off what Shia wasn't able to in "Crystal Skull" in terms of going toe-to-toe with HF.

The Indiana Jones formula wears thin, i.e. MacGuffin + mumbo-jumbo exposition + tepid interpersonal drama to pace between looooong set pieces (several of which, this time, were set in the dark which raises questions about the FX work). Maybe I'm just action-ed out but very little felt "thrilling".

"Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny"

Better than 2 and 4 (which isn't saying much), PWB was great (even if this felt like her audition reel to take over "Tomb Raider"), and the fan service didn't feel overdone.

But...

Not that BSKY has to wholly resemble TW but the ability on TW to tweet-storm is a useful one. Hope BSKY can integrate a feature like that.

Feel like it's best NOT to go with canon-topping classics but rather, finding "good" albums that aren't on consensus "best of" lists.

It wouldn't *only* be about those formal qualities. They just form a very light template of sorts and given that, historically, I don't write much about the formal qualities of albums, it's a way of engaging with a different approach to criticism.

The main question is: what albums to start with?

I've been contemplating writing long-ish form album reviews by anchoring each around a formalist core. In other words: in additional to historical context, I talk about the same basic formal qualities, i.e. LP length, song duration, sequencing, etc.
