This photograph captures Sir David Attenborough seated outdoors on the rugged terrain of Skomer Island. Behind him, the ocean and coastal cliffs form a scenic backdrop under a clear sky. Sir David, dressed in a khaki jacket and light trousers, looks towards the camera with a gentle expression, exuding a sense of warmth, calm, and wisdom. Around him, puffins can be seen flying and perched on the rocky ground, illuminated in rays of golden sunlight as the sun sets behind the cliffs.

Happy 99th birthday to the man who gave voice to the wild. 🎉

Sir David Attenborough, thank you for a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with wisdom, wonder, and grace.

You've inspired generations to fall in love with nature.

Honest Government Ad | Our Nuclear Plan
Honest Government Ad | Our Nuclear Plan YouTube video by thejuicemedia

On the eve of our federal election here in Australia, at a time when Western democracy is under threat from corruption, fossil fuel interests and oligarchs, I just wanted to share some satire on the opposition’s so-called "nuclear plan".

Most of the world’s population wants stronger climate action. They just don’t realize that they are a majority The Guardian is joining forces with dozens of newsrooms around the world to launch a year-long exploration of the ‘silent majority’ of people who want to fight climate change

One of my besties is a skimpy here in Perth and she loves it. And why not? As long as it’s not harming anyone or the planet, maybe all humans could just be allowed to choose their vocation without judgement? 🤷‍♀️

Corruption has infiltrated pretty much every single major party now, no matter wherever you live in the world. I’m in Australia and it’s the same with the labor government here. The liberals were already corrupt, obviously. “So this is how democracy dies……” ☹️☹️☹️

Labour’s great nature sellout is the worst attack on England’s ecosystems I’ve seen in my lifetime | George Monbiot The horrifying planning bill, which rips up environmental protections, was drafted with CEOs in mind. We know because Keir Starmer told us, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

It's hard to get your head around the scale of the environmental vandalism the Labour government is hoping to unleash. The Planning and Infrastructure Bill is up there with Trump's executive orders. And the reason is the same: corporate power.

Also how nice is it to have a respectful discussion like this with our differing viewpoints rather than what might have happened if this same thread was on certain other apps….. 🫢😮🥰

I get why nuclear seems like a silver bullet… and maybe it is. But if it goes wrong, the risk is massive. Surely there are safer ways to harness the giant nuclear reactor we already have (the sun)? The real challenge is storage and infrastructure, not energy supply.

USDA orders California national forests open for major logging Mudslide risk could increase in Southern California burn areas if trees are cleared, public lands advocate says.

It’s crazy how much stuff palm oil is in. At least a third of regular western supermarket products. Less than ten percent of original Borneo rainforests left by 2030 at current rates. ☹️☹️☹️
