I’m not a professional but your options are something like this:

-Opt for a payment plan for your feds with an extremely small payment every month (and who says you have to pay it on time?)

-file a financial hardship, currently not collectible status — this is harder to get and prove I think but

But I have a friend who has owed money to the government for years, fell out of her payment plan a few yrs back, she only owes like 10 grand.

Or owed.

Because every letter she gets is a lower number since it’s been so long. 🤷🏻‍♀️
