I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.

The field is ever-evolving but my main contribution was a book about social opposition to damming the last free flowing Himalayan stretches of the River Ganga, sacred to Hindus, in mountainous terrain already prone to disasters.

Hi Eileen! Mostly Hinduism and ecology in terms of what I studied and researched. But over the years I’ve been connected with scholars doing fascinating work on a range of faiths and their interpretations (or rejections) of human responsibility for environmental protection and sustainability.
