At least if Tomodachi Life doesn’t take too much time from that. I wasn’t too fond of the new makeup feature at first, but it’s definitely grown on me. Especially the vast amount of customization options.
Really, I’m enjoying the game a lot. It’s helped me forget the negativity these last 2 days.
I’ve been looking into tinkering with gen 5 sprites again. More notably, the overworlds. I started off with an edit of Blue’s PWT sprites, giving him additional walk animations.
I got my start at spriting with Pokemon stuff, so maybe fully revisiting it oughta help me find my spark again.
I’ve been burdening people with my lack of activity in freelance projects, and I don’t wish to do that. I still love doing what I do, though real life matters have made me mentally exhausted, and approaching my hobby feel overwhelming. It’s such a shame too, considering how much of a comfort space of escapism pixel art has been to me in recent years, as everything seems to be so negative and distrusting nowadays. I’m more than open to passing the torch for my discontinued WiPs to be completed for all to use, I just hope this doesn’t get confused for me being “lazy” and dumping the work on someone and taking the credit for someone else’s contribution. I believe everyone deserves to be credited for directly making the final vision a reality.

Kinda been falling back on negative thoughts, as much as I wish I wouldn’t. It’s just so much baggage.
I removed my pfp for personal reasons (nothing alarming nor anything done for “concern farming” BS).
I’m going to be limiting my online appearance for a while. I’ve been slowing down recently, and pushing myself to do anything has only made things worse. I’m hoping a break, and some time to think for myself will help me find my sense of direction again.

The remake is pretty solid, but it continues to sadden me how much of the charm was lost when they left stuff like this and the images from the end boss results out of the game.
Even if 3D recreations were out of the way, they could’ve used the 2D art from the original game as a ref/inspiration.
I also got around to respriting the Goomba in the original work place file, so I might do something with that on the side at some point.
I managed to finish reformatting the sheet, along with updating every frame with the current hat/mustache some time back.
I originally wanted to pack *A LOT* into this sheet, but given years of drawbacks and overthinking stuff, I’m just going to focus on basic utilities from the base games.

It’s borderline infuriating.
Even worse when most of these types of accounts don’t bother to properly flag their own posts as NSFW. It’s nothing like Twitter where the tags mess up your visibility and the like, so the whole thing just comes off as laziness.
AI slop aside, I honestly love the idea of giving Mario a super hero-based costume for a power up. Especially after seeing a post awhile back drawing parallels between Mario & Sonic and Superman & Goku.
