"I NEVER SAW A WILD THING SORRY FOR ITSELF" - D.H. Lawrence
Lick your wounds, honey.
Walk it off.
It's okay if you had to bite those hands to keep them from reaching.
It's okay if the middle was actually the end.
I know, you feel like sunsets are your story, but you still have your heart like morning. Come now, heave your aching body, leave that dead thing to rot in the dirt.
I know, love caught you like a collar, but you still have your heart like water.
I know, you feel broken open,
but you still have your heart like a seed, split and growing green in the sun.
L.E. Bowman

Missouri's murder rate is 73% HIGHER than California’s.
No amount of right-wing spinning can change reality: our state is investing in prevention, enforcement, and is holding criminals accountable.
The U.S. Senator from Missouri should fix his own failed policies before lecturing us.

Finley, a light brown dog with darker brown markings. A reddish nose and amber colored eyes stands in the grass, looking up at the camera. Next to him is a small raised bed filled with dirt. Finley has clearly been investigating the dirt given the fact that the front of his face is covered.
I like the smelly dirt too

In this digital illustration, three baby dragons are sheltered from rain by their gigantic mama dragon. They are on a rooftop in front of a cityscape. The babies gaze up at their mom, smiling.

I love how young folks are thinking this all the way through. If you are going to be a parent it helps to have the patience and resources that come with age. You want to be sure! My husband and I have never regretted waiting until we had some fun and lived a little.

Remember: There is nothing natural or inevitable about extreme inequality; it’s the result of an economic system that values wealth and power over human dignity and justice.
It doesn't have to be this way.

From EARTHSEED: THE BOOKS OF THE LIVING
Choose your leaders
with wisdom and forethought.
To be led by a coward
is to be controlled
by all that the coward fears.
To be led by a fool
is to be led
by the opportunists
who control the fool.
To be led by a thief
is to offer up
your most precious treasures
to be stolen.
To be led by a liar
is to ask
to be told lies.
To be led by a tyrant
is to sell yourself
and those you love
into slavery.

Folks I talked to didn't understand the concept of curating your own content and then building up slowly by sharing the content you wanted to see more of.
+Community building must be intentional for all.
-Short form videos are an addiction for many.
+Explore doesn't really explore

The Mirroring Stillness of Shiga's Irises
This photograph by Satoshi Otsu captures a dense bank of blooming purple irises along the edge of Hiraike in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture. The composition is split almost perfectly between the physical flowers and their soft, distorted reflection in the dark, still water, creating a rhythmic verticality that blends the botanical with the impressionistic. The deep greens of the surrounding forest are mirrored below, adding a sense of immersive natural depth that characterizes the serene landscapes of the Shiga region.

Kansas City just made it easier to build homes, and it starts with a free blueprint. We've pre-approved 7 home designs at no cost to residents. That means no architect fees, no design delays. Just pick a plan, select your lot, and get building.

The photo of earthrise from the moon, showing the earth's blue marble at gibbous, and a quote from Edgar Mitchell, one of the Apollo 14 crew. Original is in caps, growing from about 12 point to about 35 point over the course of the five paragraphs.
"YOU DEVELOP AN INSTANT GLOBAL CONSCIOUSNESS, A PEOPLE ORIENTATION, AN INTENSE DISSATISFACTION WITH THE STATE OF THE WORLD, AND A COMPULSION TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
FROM OUT THERE ON THE MOON, INTERNATIONAL POLITICS LOOK SO PETTY.
YOU WANT TO GRAB A POLITICIAN BY THE SCRUFF OF THE NECK AND DRAG HIM A QUARTER OF A MILLION MILES OUT AND SAY
'LOOK AT THAT, YOU SON OF A BITCH!'"
APOLLO 14 ASTRONAUT EDGAR MITCHELL

If all goes according to plan, in a few hours, a crew of astronauts will begin a journey that will take them on a loop around the moon. Here's a video that NASA put together to help people visualize the journey through space, first orbiting the earth before looping around the moon and flying home 🔭

Correct. On the vast majority of the world's land, solar would produce 100x or more the useable energy per hectare vs. bioenergy. Meaning 1 hectare for energy, 99 hectares left over for food. (Also, solar farms don't necessarily need to be put on farmland, but crops do.)
