Question for the writing community: are you more motivated to write when it’s cold outside? Less? Unaffected? Snow-dependent?

It’s so interesting how much a book changes from the original idea to the first full draft. It’s one of my favorite parts of writing, but damn, it can be a total headache.

Do you set reading goals for yourself? If so, have you set yours for this year? I’m not setting a quantity goal for myself this year, but I’m working my way through my physical TBR, and trying not to buy any new books until I’ve done so. It’s… a big task.

Is there any greater joy than choosing a new planner for the year?

Happy New Year, friends! It’s that time of year again — when I set a bunch of ridiculously ambitious goals for myself that I will never in a million years be able to meet. Can’t wait to do it again. 😅

after today, I’m officially off work for the next two weeks… how much of my draft do we think I can finish?
