A conference room full of people. A man in a green t shirt is at the front talking to the delegates
Wonderful to see so many people at #NATECLA25 as co-chair @paulsceeny.bsky.social welcomes delegates 👏 #ESOL
Diana on the train with a cup of coffee and wearing a green shirt
On my way to #Natecla for the best #ESOL conference of the year. Looking forward to catching up with familiar folk and meeting new people too. Always feels like coming home 💚

A new post on the Language Issues blog about supporting access to #ESOL for those experiencing homelessness. Perhaps particularly important during #RefugeeWeek 🧡

A poem for World Refugee Day 🧡
The sun setting in the distance. Large stones and boulders in the foreground with a trig point and a woman taking a photo next to it
Me standing at the top of a tower wearing a hat and scarf. You can see the balustrade behind and then a view including houses, hills and blue sky
Some stunning views and scenery in Calderdale this week - from the Bridestones to the Wainhouse Tower 💚
'This must be a watershed moment for the church to change its culture & its approach to #safeguarding'

Today’s the day…

The orange flowers on a witch hazel with a snowy road, trees and a brightish winter sky behind
In between trying to keep warm while working from home I've been making the most of the moments outside. Signs of growth in the garden and birdsong in the woods. Very grateful to be able to see and hear both 💚
View down a green field with a dry stone wall on the right and a large tree in the middle. The mist mostly hides the hills beyond with blue sky above
A moss covered crenellated wall in front looking over a misty valley and hazy houses below. The top of a large hillside is visible above the mist with blue sky above
A very beautiful walk yesterday to see what was hidden above the cloud. Calderdale is a very special place 💚
Photo of a room filled with books and with wooden pillars, beams all around. It's taken from the first floor looking down onto tables, a parquet floor. There are leaded windows but it's dark outside
A white table and two chairs next to an old window with leaded panes. The sun is shining in with the pattern from the window on the wall
Finally @rachelterry.bsky.social and I have managed to be at @gladlib.bsky.social at the same time. A proper pre-Christmas treat (and retreat) in one of my favourite places 💚
A book with the title 'Becoming a Teacher-Reaearcher: a guide to your research journey' and the names of the editors
CHAPTER 15 How Do You Address Ethical Issues When Engaged in Online Research? Diana Tremayne
Always lovely to have a paper copy of something that you've written. Looking forward to reading the other chapters and really pleased that this is a very accessible and affordable publication for teacher researchers as this is often not the case.
Have you seen 'A Yorkshire Christmas'? Once seen, never forgotten...
Terrible C5 Christmas films are my (not very) guilty secret...
An order of service saying 'Light up a life' with a Christmas tree lit up with stars on the cover. There's a real Christmas tree behind and an altar full of lit candles behind
Really grateful to be able to attend this service of remembrance organised by Overgate Hospice today. My dad died in a hospice and what they provide is so important🕯️
A fast flowing river going under a bridge. A large ornate stone building beyond.
A very fast and high river, only just going under the bridge. The light are on in the shops and the town hall beyond
Lots of watching and waiting as the water levels rose in the valley throughout the day. Thanks to all who have been helping today and thoughts with everyone affected.
Snow on a mossy tree branch with orange leaves on the trees behind. The sun is shining and the sky is blue
Just had ten minutes in the woods walking through the frosty leaves and the last of the snow. Saw a flock of redwing too (blurrily without glasses!). Joyful 💚
A mossy tree branch with snow on top. Some orange leaves on the trees in the background and the sun shining in a blue sky
A few minutes of soul food in the woods this morning. Very cold but full of joy 💚
Sharing my #PhD research here because it's much more than just about Twitter and really about how we use spaces like this positively as well as the huge benefits of less formal exchanges for learning and understanding people's experiences...

Indeed. Noticing this even more now I'm lead member for adult services and wellbeing...
A bumpy track going downhill with a few traces of snow. The trees and grass either side are snow covered.
Made it to work today quite easily,(slightly disappointingly 😉). Have had the excitement of getting my computer reimaged, although would quite like it to have been reimagined instead...
The UKFEchat logo with the letters UK and FE in black and red and the word chat in white text in a red comma below them.
Great to watch so many wonderful UK #FE and #Skills folk forming communities here on @bsky.app
#UKFEchat is joining as a presence for #FE dialogues, sharing, support and more.
Watch this space!

Good to see you - well done for finding me on here! Safe travels home.
A view towards a small lake with large modern buildings behind
Not quite deserting Twitter completely but hoping to post more regularly here. Have gone from two very full days of LGA training to the lovely IPDA conference to talk about walking, talking and professional identity. Planning to do as little as possible tomorrow...!
