I did switch back to fedora workstation though and so far that seems to be the perfect distro for me at the moment, might give cachyos another try at some point though

Ok after more investigation and 2 Linux distro hops, It was actually the huion-switcher utility that broke my tablet, more specifically the way they say to install it in the README broke it

Why are developers like this

Update: a single update broke it

Lesson learned: do not use rolling release distros if you're a creative professional

But also default config on KDE didn't support the eraser nib either, and supposedly this is also a krita specific issue with Wayland, so like ??? It could be a multitude of things which is what's been tripping me up

I think the issue might be OTD cause I was using that, says officially that they support that, but then there's an issue in their repo for my tablet and the eraser nib not working, and their response was "that's not our issue lol" so 😭

this is one of those annoying troubleshooting moments where its kinda impossible to pin point where the issue is coming from cause it could be caused by multiple things and theres no specific group/person to ask how to fix it either
