And the story of his friendship with another Celestian is appropriately adorable: “Maya of the Skies is a young girl who travels across the cosmos on her moonship,” Gina shares. “She met Captain Cacao on an adventure, and he became her navigator so that he could keep traveling with this best friend.” Now, they travel across the cosmos looking for the best, most delicious ingredients to bring back to Celestial Park. In Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets, you can see the door that Maya uses to enter the shop, a smaller door for Captain Cacao, and an even smaller door marked with the initials M.L. And now, in what is earnestly a pinnacle of my career as a journalist, I can reveal the true identity of this mysterious M.L.: “M.L. stands for Major Lolli,” Gina reveals with a laugh. “She’s a little sugar slider who Maya and Captain Cacao encountered on an adventure. Major Lolli joined their team and tries to make sure that the moonship is kept in tip-top shape. She is very Type A, and very aggressive in making sure that everybody is safe all the time.” Simply put, Major Lolli is now my favorite character to ever exist in the history of theme parks, and perhaps in all media, ever.

I drew up a little concept just for fun of Major Lolli from Universal Studios Epic Universe! We haven't seen her officially so this is my interpretation based on the description on the second image.

The Plastered Owl has a beautiful bar and has a small stage in the corner with the stained glass tree. This promises to be a popular spot to relax in Celestial Park

Sound Collector:
One performer with tone tubes (like those pipes you smack and they play a tone) having audience members smack their pipe to play songs. This one especially suffered from location- it was on the bridge in front of Helios (not an often traveled walkway) in the blazing sun.

Hemisphere Stage:
Three performers doing a lore drop. One of them explained how and why Celestial Park, Stardust Racers, and Constellation Carousel came to be, while the other two and an audience member pantomimed the events.

What was the Celestial Park show like?

* The Monster Hunters in Burning Blade are so, so good. Having them casually welcome people in and chat with guests made them blend into the woodwork (in a good way, like they were meant to be there) * Ygor roaming Darkmore. If you haven’t seen the tik toks, you’re missing out. He’s having the time of his unhinged life. * The violinist in Darkmore adds so much depth to the land, enriching the lands lore. I just wish they’d give them a mic or amplify them a little louder. * Every single Viking in Berk is spot on. And they’re just…doing their thing. It’s so seamless and just adds so much quirk to the land. * The baby Nightlight dragons. I’m so glad I got to see one of the 3(!) babies out. The animatronic is phenomenal and a real wow factor. The show itself could use a little work. Felt like the main guy was wrapping up and then a new skit would start- very jerky in that regard.

* Celestial Park entertainment already got cut, but I was lucky enough to see a performance at the Hemisphere Stage and the Sound Collector. Hot take: they were bad. Not the performers, they were giving it their best. But the material was bad. One of them just wasn’t engaging at all and I wound up leaving. The other only worked because it seemed like their audience participation member was also in entertainment.

Let’s talk Entertainment. Ready for some hot takes? Cause that Celestial Park entertainment that got cut….deserved to be cut while they rework it

I’m so impressed with how many great and cool park-original characters Epic Universe has, such as:

Gwendolyn (Cirque)
Higgledy (Ministry)
Victoria Frankenstein (Darkmoor)
Chef Toad (Nintendo)
Twig and the other dragon handlers (Berk)
Captain Cacao (Celestial)

I like to think that’s HHN’s impact 😌
