A black line drawing of a landline telephone receiver, mirrored by abstract linework derived from combining text and soundwaves into decorative motifs, all floating on an atmospheric background of eroded layers of blue-grey paint.

When the HPV vaccine came out, I had a colleague who wouldn't give it to his daughter 'because it might encourage her to have sex.'

1. She was a toddler at the time.

2. Just tell her 'the shot is to keep you healthy.'

3. Might encourage...? Uh, so? You'd rather she get cancer than have sex?

Meh. It's got a lot of vowels, to be honest.

Nice work with the facial expressions in the larger drawing in the lower half. Both socially awkward, but indivisualized well.

When you visit the Cathedral in Siena, they have an art museum across the plaza. In addition to the art, they allow visitors to view the city from the roof of the museum (narrow stairs and small parapet). Great panorama.

Why can't I "like" this as many times as it deserves?

Pushing that heart button harder doesn't work either.

Must be a glitch with BlueSky.

A page of a graphic novel with a text block in the upper left,

a diagram of a garage door and a mapped route with stops for tae kwan do and lego robotics in the upper right,

and centered in the lower two thirds of the page a close up of a coffee pot.

Text reads: "I hear the muted rumble of the garage door, then the sound of Janie driving off.

OK, take a deep breath, ACKNOWLEDGE THE STILLNESS.

Coffee gurgles to a crescendo. So much for stillness, time for caffeine."

If the timing works, there is a giant open-air antiques market in Arezzo on the first Sunday of the month and every preceding Saturday. Lots of 'wander around and see stuff' potential.

Otherwise, yeah Florence & Sienna.

Glad to see this. I'm completely biased: supporting the Kickstarter, and really want the book to come out.

Thanks for always advocating for fascinating work.
