Pretty unforgettable day and week. Goodnight, Rapids fans 😴

Response to our pool reporter question on why Inter Miami’s Yannick Bright was given a red card in the 87th minute:
“Yannick Bright was given a red card for offensive, insulting, abusive language. He said, ‘b*tch *ss n*gga’ to his opponent.”
FULL TIME: Inter Miami beats the Colorado Rapids, 3-2. Really entertaining game. Rapids were responsible for four of the five goals scored today.
I'd say even with the loss, the Rapids proved something today. Put on a show.
87' RED CARD! Miami's Bright is shown a red after conversation with the referee. Miami is down to 10 men. Not a ton of time left.
80' Goal Miami: Lionel Messi does Lionel Messi things. Gets to his spot in a 1v1 with Lucas Herrington, he cuts on his left foot and goes top left. Zack Steffen had no chance. What a goal
3-2 Miami
75,284 is your official attendance for today's match
58' GOAL RAPIDS! Wayne Frederick plays Rafael Navarro through, Miami gives the Brazilian a ton of space, Navarro makes a nice move and tucks it past Dayne St. Clair. Great response after a bad end to the first half/start to second half.
2-1 Miami
45+5' Goal Miami: Unbelievable decision from the Rapids to play it to the back with time expiring in the first half. Rapids give it up and Berterame gets a header at the back post. Halftime on the ensuing kickoff.
2-0 Miami at half.
23' CHANCE RAPIDS: Paxten Aaronson should have done better. Rafael Navarro plays him into space in behind, but Aaronson pushes into too tight of an angle. Tries a cross body shot but it goes wide of the far post.
1-0 Miami
17' PENALTY: After VAR review, Josh Atencio is penalized and Messi will take the penalty. Pretty soft overturning I think.
Messi scores it in the 19th minute. Rapids down early after having a couple good looks.
1-0 Miami
14' trouble in the back and Rapids give it away inside the box. VAR is reviewing a potential penalty because Josh Atencio (I think) took down Rodrigo De Paul in the box.
Lucas Herrington a bit more nervy than we're accustomed to for the start of this game. A couple of giveaways, but nothing from them.
Let’s do this
USWNT captain and future Denver Summit midfielder Lindsey Heaps's newest challenge is balancing the future and the now as she waits to officially join Summit.
That's still a few months away, but she and the crowd at DSGP got a taste of what's to come.

ICYMI: Marcelo Balboa remembers the validation of a big crowd in the club's first-ever home game, and the impact a good performance had on the future.
30 years later, 70,000+ will pack Empower Field, and the Colorado Rapids have a huge opportunity.

Huge ovation for USWNT captain, Golden native and future Denver Summit midfielder Lindsey Heaps.
Loud cheers for the return of Windsor native Sophia Wilson to the USWNT from pregnancy.
With 70,000+ at Empower Field, a positive result for the Colorado Rapids against Lionel Messi's Inter Miami on Saturday could capture a brand new portion of the Denver sports market.
With what Matt Wells is doing with this team, the timing couldn't be better.

Read my mind
Would guess he hurt it in training today and hadn't heard definitive word on status for tomorrow until after presser. Trying to confirm
Hamstring. He was made available to media today at the podium. Don't remember a time the club made a player available (likely) knowing they wouldn't play.
Obviously complicates things a bit but I'm sure Matt Wells has solutions.
Colorado Rapids/Inter Miami injury report for tomorrow's match at Empower Field:
OUT for Rapids: Reggie Cannon, Connor Ronan, Miguel Navarro, Ted Ku-DiPietro
OUT for Miami: David Ayala, Sergio Reguilon. Tadeo Allende is questionable.
All signs point to Lionel Messi playing.
Rafael Navarro with his own custom Denver Broncos jersey.
Just Rafa being Rafa
Colorado Rapids head coach walks off the podium following media availability, turns to us and says he pulled his hamstring during training today.
"I'll definitely not be available for selection tomorrow." 😂😂
Colorado Rapids announce they're at 70,000 tickets sold for tomorrow's match against Inter Miami. Capacity is 76,125.
