I buy cherries when they’re in season, which does add the step of pitting them, but I have a nice little cherry pitter that makes it fast and easy.
The yellow berries are cape gooseberries, which my local store always has stocked, often cheaper than blackberries and blueberries.
I do make my own turkey sausage, but I do it in batches so that I’m just pulling out a frozen single in the morning. Thirty seconds in the microwave is perfect. Also, turkey sausage is so stupid easy to make that I’m willing to do it on a weeknight.
Josie did get her breakfast lap time, as always.
Breakfast prep. It always looks elaborate, but it’s easy: I nuke a frozen sausage patty, the pancakes are a just-add-water box mix with a 1/2 tsp matcha powder mixed in, and I throw handfuls of berries on the plate. Ta da.
