I fucked up. I got my dog so used to laying velcroed at my side, now when I try to do anything that doesn't allow her that, she gets quite insistent and disruptive that I allow her back by my side.

It's nice for when I'm a depressed potato on the couch, not so much when I'm actually doing things.

Been a few days since I posted. I'm still alive, just mental health stuff kicking my butt.

Here's to whatever the new year brings, good or bad. I have my mind set on a future for the first time and I'm on the path I'm mean to be. 💛 2/2

The only thing I will say about 2024 is that I learned a lot about myself and my capabilities, that I matter and being gentle with myself is so important. That past mistakes aren't all I am and there's always room for growth. That I survived and I'll be okay. 1/2

Trauma as a child is different from trauma as an adult. As a child, there's less chances for a mistake on my end to get thrown back at me. As an adult, the chances are plentiful, the repercussions for speaking out more terrifying.
