"...I miss Humility."

"Pray, if I may ask...

"What are those rectangular things I see in everyone's hands all the time? I've never seen their like!"

Longer than that, about 10 minutes, and you will risk death.

Only those immune to poisons are completely safe.

Good news is that the poison goes inert and harmless the moment it leaves her body, so no worries about decontaminating the couch if she sits on it.

5.

It has only been vaguely mentioned but! Watch out for her eel-like mermaid tail. It secretes a poisonous thin film of mucus on the exterior at all times.

Brief physical contact is okay, will just burn for a moment. However, prolonged exposure for a few minutes will cause a paralytic effect.

The most entertaining one to her would be The Little Mermaid, the original version and especially the disneyified version that came later.

Oh she would laugh...

Because she knows the truth of it.

Because she was both the maiden AND the sea witch.

To tragic love stories made by those smitten by her and the separation of land and sea.

To tell her of them would entertain her greatly as she attempts to recall what events may have inspired them, mischievously making the more morbid stories unclear on their accuracy.

4.

Speaking of tales...She definitely has many of them. And being the First Mermaid of her world, has spawned many about her and that of all considered mermaids.

From merry legends about being benevolent guides on the waves...

To terrifying fables of mermaids being flesh-eating monsters...

She also knows how to play most instruments, though only ones that existed up to the late 13th century.

She has a preference towards stringed instruments.

3.

Being the songstress that she is, and her long lived life, she is quite skilled in the musical arts. Her singing voice is absolutely beautiful, to the point that mortals in her age and world claim that it has hypnotic powers.

It does not. Tales like that have a tendency to be overblown.

However, she cannot chain the maneuver back to back and it will exhaust her to do it too often.

Moreover, turning herself into water makes her very vulnerable to her weakness to electricity and certainly makes being boiled by high heat much more painful.

She also cannot control impure water as well as she can with pure water or sea water. Non-water based liquids she can't control at all.

She IS able to turn her entire body into water, briefly. Unlike her next incarnation, she is quite good at it, able to weave it into battle for dodging.

2.

Her mastery of water is incredibly powerful, though it has some limitations.

She does run off of waterbending rules, she cannot just MAKE water out of nothing, there must be water nearby. However, she can, with concentration, condense humidity in the air into usable water.

Never too much, never too little. Always just right.

However, due to other factors, she is highly resistant to creating overly lavish or extravagant dishes. She knows she cannot make outright bland foods, as good taste is good for morale, she also will not make anything unique in taste.

1.

Due to her nature as the physical embodiment of Temperance, she has a heightened sense of measurement and proportion in all things.

This most especially is evident with cooking. Even without a recipe, she will never under/over season or burn the food. Even measuring flour is a non-effort.

Is it really a headcanon in this case? Probably not

[That particular nature to this Damsel has yet to set in for the mermaid, so she just giggles in return.]

"Very easygoing, are you not? I believe quite a few would be envious of that!"

"How truly mysterious, dear maiden! I hope such vagueness does not worry you overmuch."

"I myself have slept once for...Oh...4 years, I believe it was?

"Twas a shame, really, to miss so long. I hardly can recall the incredible wound that was inflicted upon me!"

"Are you aware that electric eels are not true eels? Tis true!

"They're a knifefish and are in much closer relation to the catfish.

"Their shocks still sting quite a lot, as a matter of course!"

"Eels are so very cute..."

[She shifts to sit on the edge of the bed, reaches forward...]

[And pinches him REALLY hard right on the arm, like getting gripped by a very angry crab.]

"My tail? Oh, it is poisonous, a thin layer of toxic mucus...But so long as you kept contact short, it should have only burned. Longer, and it would have been a paralytic."

[She mentions that as casually as one would talk about a new shampoo. At his request though...]

"...? Very well."

"Ah, it is no wonder I recognize none of these things nor your clothes. It has been...600 years? A lot can change, can it not?"

[She clenches her hand...Then spreads it open, making the water burst into a gentle mist all over herself.]

"Mmm! Much better...!"

"I will explain as best I can then...It seems I have been very displaced in time. For me, last I remember, it was...Oh, I think about the end of the 13th century? Just starting the 14th?"

[As she speaks, she curls her finger at the cup and...Makes the water flow and fly gently out.]

"202-...? Oh...! That's...Oh my goodness. This is no average revival..."

[She mumbles that last part under her breath, sitting up more in the hospital bed. At the offering of the cup of water, she nods.]

"Then your evident disbelief at my words is understandable. Pray, forgive me.

[Her eyes land on the nearby sink in the meantime. As if sensing the function, she motions to it.]

"Some water, please?

"...And...I think I have the right question now. What is the date? Including the year, if you would."

"Medical equipment was not quite so...Sleek, last I checked."

[She isn't sure how to describe it, stretching her arms and popping a bone or two.]

"Mmmmh...The...Americas? I've never heard of that place..."

[Her eyes gaze around, mind trying to think of what could be going on...]

[She looks back over her shoulder, as if searching for a wound. There is none, not even a scar.]

"I had died. Or. At least I believe as such...How strange. How and where did you find me? Are we still in Europe?"

[She rubs her head, clearly a little overwhelmed.]

"Ah...Pray, forgive me! It is rude of me not to introduce myself after learning yours."

[Then...She brings her stoic, serene smile to her face, regarding him kindly.]

"My name is Temperance, the Heavenly Virtue. And last I recall..."
