I'm 1/3 thru Parable of the Talents. Very good book. Terrifying though. It just makes me feel good about my decision to not survive whatever apoplectic event that happens here.

I read as a way to escape this madness. Unfortunately, I am reading Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler. She nailed it in this dystopian novel, and it is difficult to read because she nailed it. Not much of an escape reading it, since we are living it.

I read this book in high school, and I truly hated it. In my senior English class, we had to read a book of our choosing, so I chose Breakfast of Champions, due to a short story we had to read in class. I deeply regretted choosing this book.
