Canada is a NATO country and is also part of the UK Commonwealth. It has friends.

Australia has universal healthcare, paid for by a medicare levee, but private health insurance is encouraged. Some private health insurers are for profit & also cover dental, optical, physio etc. Some professions ie teachers, defence members, have not for profit insurance.

I see this movement of " they need us" into right wing US discourse. Threats may work in the short term but countries will adjust & eventually not trade with the US. Trade of soybeans to China never recovered (and I doubt will) after his last time. Short term gain for long term pain.

Please google what Pine Gap does for US defence. I get you're tired of costly healthcare. Countries that have universal healthcare pay for it through their taxes. It isn't free but is affordable. Sadly a lot of US thinks it's socialised medicine & therefore bad. I hope you get something.
