Nothing sums Newcastle Airport up like the bar showing ITV1 on a big screen.

"He was a local lad who made the first team, got that goal against PSG and scored the winning penalty in a shootout where we went onto win a cup. Maybe he couldn't win a free kick to save his life, but so what? In this house Sean Longstaff is a hero, end of fucking story"

And harness some big sponsorship deals in the short term. Training kit etc are all lost opportunities at the moment, especially coming up to a CL campaign…

I assume he wants first team football which is fair enough at his age. He’s too good to be our 6th choice CM.

If Sean Longstaff leaves, I’ll remember him as the scorer of one of my favourite goals in recent memory. The third against PSG which settled my nerves at the start of the second half. #NUFC

Hard to understand what kind of deterrent UEFA’s FFP rules are when Chelsea have absolutely smashed through them and have been fined a cumulative €31m. It’s a tax that the club is probably comfortable paying. By breaking the rules they get to spend to recruit player after player and reach UCL

that’s nothing, a couple months ago he went 144 when he was supposed to go 25

No issue with NUFC retaining John Ruddy, if they can. Another coach on the books and a great lad, ditto Gillespie, who I think counts as Academy trained. I’d also be very happy to keep Wilson, BUT none of this to the detriment of signing actual footballers. Don’t Vernon Anita this summer, United.

The 24/25 season was historic for #NUFC. Howe turned a rough summer into our first major domestic 🏆 in 70 years—and UCL qualification.

But success brings expectation. With PSR easing & more games in 25/26, fans & Howe expect investment.

But who to buy? Welcome to my third annual Summer Transfer 🧵

Chelsea being in the best shape is an absolute joke.

Passed 2k subs to my newsletter a few weeks back, which I'm happy about. Attempting to get this number to 5k, then ideally 10k.

If you're a #NUFC fan and you value my posts & threads, then why not get a dose of these things from my newsletter?

The Browns are about to have the saddest quarterback competition of the past 20 years, surpassing the legendary 2012 Cardinals (Kevin Kolb, John Skelton, Ryan Lindley) and the 2007 Falcons (Joey Harrington, Byron Leftwich, Chris Redman)

Dan Burn. The boyhood Newcastle United fan who set them on their way to ending their trophy drought with a fantastic header at Wembley.

Talk about a local hero.

He’s not helped by the fact Barnes wants to come inside as well. No proper threat of a cross coming in from the byline
