Ended up using Affinity! Took 20 minutes to place all 265 pages in and export the whole as a pdf instead of 5 minutes with one click in Adobe, but at least it's free.

Thanks! Will have a look.
Congratulations to Jamie Hernandez and Trung Le Nguyen, who both picked up awards at last week's Los Angeles Times Book Prizes.
Thanks! We didn't know about you could do that! It's great, but in this instance it needs to be a pdf, so that our editor can add her notes to it. But will defo keep that in mind.
Thanks! I was looking for a package where I could do it all in 1 click like in Acrobat, instead of something like InDesign where you have to create a document and place the images in it. But it's a good option to fall back on.
Help! Does anyone know of a trustworthy free pdf maker (that does not steal your data)? We need to create a multi-page pdf by combining 100 different jpg files into a single pdf. We've run out of our Acrobat Pro free trial.

I’m hoping #Bluesky will be in more robust health for this today. 🤞
It’s been a bit of a week, made brighter with pockets of immense kindness.
So for #KidsBooksFriday this week, I thought we could celebrate books that highlight the importance of kindness.

Liking the look of Invisible. Need to check it out!

Thank you!
Haha! There’s always a dark side 😄
It’s finally arrived! After 2 years of work, we’re seeing our actual graphic novel for the first time. Happy to report that it’s passing the sniff test (we love the smell of fresh ink). Wilomina: The Land of Dreams and Nightmares is out Aug 13th. @scholasticuk.bsky.social #KidLitUK
THIS IS TODAY! 10AM! Let’s draw some ridiculous nonsense together 💖
It’s out on August 13th!
We got the notes back from our editor for the 2nd draft of layouts for Wilomina Book 2 and I started penciling the final art.
Novels are just comics as made by people too lazy to draw the pictures.

Book cover for Unraveller by Frances Hardinge.
Book cover for Buzzing my Samuel Sattin and Rye Hickman.
For #KidsBooksFriday this week I wanted to highlight books that are perfect for the chronically underserved 12-14 age group.
What great books would you encourage kids to seek out at this age?

Unbelievable. Reading the comments in this article, someone got a record 26 scam emails in one day. WTF
Currently reading The Restaurant at the Edge of the World, a graphic novel by @olliegerlach.bsky.social & @kelsijosilva.bsky.social . There’s magic, elves and a cooking contest. #KidsGN📚💬 #KidLitUK @faberbooks.bsky.social
Cool! Yeah, wondering that too. Looks like they’re stills from the movies made into comics. Have yet to read it.
Charity shop find!
Two colour illustration of Barad Dûr, with Sauron's eye at the top. surrounded with the ring inscription in elvish. the sky is red with sparks and ash floating in the air, the tower is above a fiery chasm. The front doors are glowing red with silhouettes of chains and armouries. A cloud of ash conceals the horizon. This will be a banner and riso print first. Digital prints coming later this year.
BARAD DÛR
So it's a comic about a kid with an imaginary lion as a friend?
The comic:
Hobbes’s face in panel4 ! 😄😄😄
Haha! Vey funny. Well, not for you, these kinds of dreams are distressing. But they help to get rid of the anxiety.
That’s why being part of the comics community is so important, it’s like a second family. People who really ‘get’ each other. We live a very different kind of life to most people, for better or worse. When financial insecurity is high, you really need a network of supportive people around you.
