This is so, so well-articulated.
True ally-ship is helping your trans masc homies make their appointment for the pilgrimage.
A harsh reality trans men will have to face is that eventually you WILL have to go to Jupiter to get more stupider
I'm sorry it's just part of the deal
This is a grift dressed up as a revolution.
Don’t buy it /5
There are plenty of things modern primary and secondary education need. Better facilities, better pay and working conditions for teachers, smaller class sizes etc.
Private AI-schools do nothing to address these issues and will most likely make them a lot worse /4
That’s on top of the fact that these students are coming from extremely privileged households who can afford to pay $55,000+ per year on tuition.
But that’s assuming there is reliable data on the connection between social class and education *cough* Bourdieu *cough* *cough* /3
Putting aside the AI of it all, what is this school actually offering?
Smaller class sizes, personal attention, practical and arts-based activities, all approaches that are shown to improve student outcomes /2
Putting aside the environmental, data-protection, and labour nightmares of “AI-powered schools”, any success they may or may not have will most likely be in spite of AI not because of it /1

I have a 'History Department in UKHE' joke but it's been reduced from 250 characters to 50 and is now merged with jokes from across ten other largely-unrelated disciplines while still being expected to be Just As Funny.
Academics arguing for their own obsolescence by simping for GenAI is wild to me.
It doesn’t matter if you pivot to becoming the best prompt writer in the biz.
You’re still outsourcing your critical thought to an environmental disaster trained on stolen materials.
Some of which you probably wrote.
If you’re interested in Palestine House after my interview with it’s founder today - it really is a lovely place (with excellent hummus). palestinehouse.org
a puma bursting through snowman wrapping paper in a way that is reminiscent of “sell the houses to whom, Aquaman?”
what powers the trucks, sand??
Difficult to emphasize just how much a generation of kids has been taught that being dishonest, superficial, and narcissistic is the pathway to attention and therefore success

Holy shit
Dear Shabana, I notice today that you referred to me in your speech on immigration at the IPPR think tank. You said: “A party leader should not be on the beaches of France encouraging people to make a perilous crossing on small boats.” I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised especially after the hateful Labour campaign in Gorton and Denton, but this is just the latest in a string of lies peddled by a discredited Government who intentionally fan the flames of racism and division. When I went to Calais, I was not there to encourage people to travel to the UK. I was there to see at first hand the suffering your Government and successive Governments have done in demonising migrants in a pathetic bid to pander to the base instincts of Reform and the flawed strategy of Morgan McSweeney. As you will know, if you even bothered to research my visit instead of taking Reform talking points, I was there to witness the brutality of families living in tents in freezing temperatures. I filled water tanks and picked up litter. What that visit did do is confirm my belief that if we are to smash the boat gangs and stop the boats, we need to offer safer and managed routes for migrants to come to this country. Showing compassion as a politician is not a crime. In fact, we need to see much more of it. It reminded me of a young MP who in October 2015 spent three days in Lesbos helping migrants fleeing war-torn Syria. She posted videos on X, talked about handing out water and croissants to refugees and food parcels. When she returned to the UK, she wrote a very moving piece in the New Statesman. She said “we have to work with our European partners and create new, safe, and legal routes for refugees to get to Europe. We cannot abandon them to their fate, left as prey for smugglers whilst risking death on the seas.” She said “maybe we can make ourselves feel better by saying no-one is making them get on the boats. And again, the Home Secretary is not entirely wrong when …
Dear Shabana,
Let's clear some things up around migration and remember we're talking about people's lives.
FINALLY someone representing blood and puke magic
This is amazing.

The second and third richest men control Google.
The fourth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
The fifth richest man owns The Washington Post.
And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros.
See the problem here?
UK politics are insane because what do you mean a party called “monster raving loony party” is real and got 159 votes total
anti-AI “credo” I have a religious exemption from using all generative “A.I.” I am not a member of the Silicon Valley sect. Their beliefs and practices are an affront to my sensibilities. The tech is trained on stolen intellectual property. The output is riddled with mistakes, and it is incapable of comprehending the weight of its errors. It is not even an “it.” But sometimes, it is filtered and massaged by unaccountable human sweatshop workers and bad actors. I am not required to use “A.I.” any more than I am required to join Amway, buy black market rhino horn, or attend the Fyre Festival. As a human, I have a duty and right to limit my carbon and water footprint and protect my fellow human. As a union worker, I have a duty and right to oppose tech that is used to threaten workers or cheapen our product. As a tech consumer, I have a duty and right to oppose scams that lower the quality of our tools. As a scholar, I have a duty and right to oppose anti-intellectualism. As a taxpayer, I have a duty and right to oppose the misallocation of public funds and data. As a grown up, I have a duty and right to protect young people from predators. As a person with a conscience, I am appalled at the decadent disregard for user safety, the callous dismissal of responsibility for lives ruined and slaughtered. My religion is related to my identity, geography, and family, making it an irrelevant accident of birth. What matters is that I was born. I have an exemption from their digital rapture, their cultural austerity, their intellectual poverty. I practice wholesome hedonism and First Do No Harm. CS 12/9/2025
i included this in my syllabi this year
So if you’re an AI guy who is miffed that we loathe your product, sorry, not our problem. As the meme goes, that’s not how any of this works. Go raise another 900 trillion in funding, make everyone else love and want and PAY for you (you know you have to do this eventually!) and leave us out of it.
“The left is missing out on AI!” YEP. Most of us want to miss out! If it ever proves its actual usefulness to our actual lives, stops plagiarizing, and is no longer an environmental disaster, maybe we revisit. Burden of proof is on the industry. So far they’ve done the opposite of that!
Sorry to get radical but I don’t think it’s my job or yours to embrace, accept, understand - and certainly not to use - the thing being sold to us as AI. I don’t like any part of it, so I won’t. I’m missing out? Good, that’s what I want. You’re worried about me missing out? That’s fuckin weird, man.
Davis lays bare not only the societal forces that frame the prison as inevitable but how they stifle our ability to imagine anything beyond it.
In our current moment of genocide, ICE, fascism, environmental destruction, and global capitalism, we need imagination more than ever.
Revisiting Angela Davis’ “Are Prisons Obsolete?” for the first time in a while.
