I know people respond to the cynical “sportsball” comments with “let people enjoy things”, and I generally agree with that principle. But I think part of what has fueled the “sportsball” comments is peer pressure to like sports, and people acting like there’s something wrong with you if you don’t.

That said, this idea makes sense, as does the eliminating duplicates. (I’d definitely go for the latter one as I do end up inadvertently adding them to playlists.)
Yeah there are some radio versions where the verses/hooks were redone and sound more energetic. Some of them are more nostalgic/familiar for me since I heard them on the radio. And sometimes I just like the beats and performances but don’t want a bunch of cursing or especially misogyny.
autistic allies workshop - 5 weeks - starting marhc 8
Supporting autistic adults isn’t about being nicer.
It’s about understanding regulation, sensory reality, burnout, and why “just try harder” actively makes things worse.
This workshop teaches allies what actually helps.
Not what makes you feel helpful.

I suppose the “older Kermit” head canon makes sense. Still doesn’t really explain the accent/pronunciation differences, but what can you do?
And since it’s such a hot topic… nothing personal against Matt Vogel, but I do still think his Kermit sounds off in a distracting way that no other Muppet Show character recast has. Don’t think I’ll ever really like it, but I guess I can grudgingly accept it.
Besides the more obviously problematic choices, I would agree with Morrissey. And I’ll add Kelly Ripa. Don’t know why people suggested Chappell Roan and Janelle Monae though, I think they’d be wonderful.
Kelly Ripa. (Also can’t believe someone said Chappell Roan, she would be great.)
So happy this show is back! They did a great job, definitely want more.
Unfortunately the society we live in makes it hard to totally avoid the corporate baddies, but I'm trying to limit supporting them where I can.
In the unlikely event that anyone cares, you won't be seeing a Spotify Wrapped from me this year because I'm boycotting them. I've switched to Apple - not saying they're perfect, but they at least seem less aggressively awful than some other corporations.

I don't have anything against Mikie Sherrill and would certainly vote for her if she was the nominee. But I do think she's neither the most electable candidate, nor the one whose platform aligns the most with my views. And in general, I agree that ranked-choice voting is a great thing.
Yup… those of us paying attention saw this coming.
Musk is probably right that Trump is in the Epstein files, and that Trump wouldn't have won the election without Musk's help. He's still a creep though. The fallout was inevitable and I'll be here with my popcorn.
I'll definitely be watching them with more regularity now. I'm sure many people will stick with the comfortable routine of watching one or both of those shows in the 7 PM hour though. Plus some will want to know who the J! champ is and/or find out about viral moments ASAP.
Mike Richards has a right-wing media gig while you are laid off... just another reason we're in the darkest timeline. I do hope you land back on your feet though!
Sorry to hear this, especially coming after Mike Richards' new gig. I'm sure that creep Vanna Nissan will be over the moon about this though.
Removing anti-segregation clauses, abolishing the Department of Education... are there still fence-sitters who think he won't be "that bad" or that we would have been equally screwed either way? No way Biden or Harris would have done anything remotely comparable to this.
andy kim newsletter: The chaos that we see — it doesn't have to be this way. Right now, we have a majority of the Senate and the House that are both led by the Republicans who have shown, so far, no willingness to stand up for the Constitution. The American people need to see that, and we need to fight back. As we're discovering the things that Republicans are aiming to cut in the coming days, people are rightfully furious. Things like Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security are all on the cutting board, while Republicans aim to give major tax cuts to billionaires and their ultra-wealthy allies. I was elected to work for the people of New Jersey, and that's exactly what I aim to do amid the budget talks. Republicans are going to try to figure out how they move forward, and they have, for the last two years, needed Democratic votes for every single continuing resolution. They should not count on that this time. Donald Trump is simply trying to dismantle the government and make things worse for everyday people. I'll be taking every action I can to hold them accountable and use the leverage that we have to ensure New Jerseyans aren't given a bad deal. We are on the cusp of a constitutional crisis, seeing this administration taking steps that are clearly illegal, and until we see a change in that behavior, we should not allow and condone that, nor should we assist in that. That's not what the people of New Jersey elected me to do. More soon, Andy
most pugnacious email i've gotten from my representatives yet, they're feeling the heat
