Guardians ownership canceled Guards Fest this year for monetary reasons, same old same old

The best way I can describe it is a huge middle finger to the fans

Best season on the field since 2016, best season with attendance and fan interest in maybe longer, and this is how they thank us? This is just crummy. Everything about it sucks

This looks like another example of already cost stingy ownership trying to save a buck, and now that it’s really affecting the fans, I’m personally pretty pissed off

I can accept being cheap when it comes to team building because that unfortunately is modern baseball, but this is a new low

I’m not done ranting yet

The Cleveland Guardians just had their best attendance season in years and made the ALCS. Fan interest and growth is higher than it’s been in years

Why take away Guards Fest? The event was loved by so many of us and was better fan outreach than anything else they do

Nobody asked for this, and I think I speak for all of us when I say we’ll really miss Guards Fest this year, I personally look forward to it as the kickoff of the baseball season
