They're doing incredible things in San Francisco

Oneil Cruz bounced a homer off the top of the fair pole
They’ll always remain the metrostars to me
I mean, it is if you’re not constantly antagonizing the entire fucking planet for no reason.
This judge has been overturned on appeal on this specific issue previously, so this isn't really a setback so much as it is a tantrum.
Analyst: Watch this replay.
(Player crosschecks a guy.)
Analyst: See that one’s OK.
(Same crosscheck.)
Analyst: No problem there.
(Same crosscheck.)
Analyst: Just good hockey.
(Same crosscheck.)
Analyst: Love it.
(Same crosscheck, ref calls it.)
Analyst: You just can’t do that!
UNC and SC tied at 14 in extra innings. The box score has everything except pitching
Such a stupid softball game lol
uh yeah, people outside of Florida don't really hear about it, but a really nasty, incurable disease has been hitting the state's citrus trees for years now.
"Here's a motion that I definitely wrote."
"Wait, did you actually write this?"
"Okay, I'm withdrawing my motion because you obviously can't be fair."

Sam Bankman-Fried has filed his purported reply to the court order to answer whether an attorney (or his mother, a former attorney?) has been writing his pro se submissions.
It raises more questions.
It is also not "under penalty of purjury" as required by the court's order.
Here's what's funny about this
It got leaked by FIFA because it actually really pissed FIFA off
because undermining the interests of many corrupt smaller FAs is the one line that FIFA leadership cannot afford to cross, their power is fully dependent on their ability to leverage those FAs' votes
This is the case in which Joshua Mast was alleged to have basically kidnapped a baby, lied to a family court judge and claimed there were no living relatives (there were), then tricked the relatives into signing paperwork by saying he'd get them out ahead of the return of the Taliban.
The midterm gerrymandering war and the Iran war alike show Trump's inability to imagine that the people he's picking fights with have any agency, any ability to respond.
He loves his "you don't have the cards" metaphor but he's amazingly terrible at actually thinking about whether they do.
But if you have included a hallucinated citation, it means you included a cite that you didn't yourself read. Which means the reader can't trust that you have verified that ANY of your citations say what you say they say. That's the death knell for me. 2/2
this is true and bad but part of the problem is that *the market* also seems to be treating this as "distant crisis mostly of interest to nerds that will work itself out" which is a deeply confusing signal that is not entirely the fault of the press in this case
This is my toddler whenever we take her in the stroller anywhere other than park
Still running ads on Mets games on the radio as they have all my life
Thread. When you hear someone claim they’re just enforcing the laws on the books, point out that’s false. They’re exercising their discretion to TURN as many people as possible who are here legally into “illegals” so they can deport as many as possible.
If you say this the Uber tax for you specifically should be $100
So many international players in the WNBA now, that it really is time that they finally take on my long-offered suggestion for All-Star weekend - especially in a World Cup year. 4-nation tournament, round-robin or semis/final, USA/France/Australia/Spain. Becomes a camp for everyone, too. #WNBA

Neither the Constitution nor any federal statute expressly preempts Hencely’s suit. The Supremacy Clause requires state law to yield only when it conflicts with rights or restrictions that stem from the Constitution or a valid federal statute or treaty. Kansas v. Garcia, 589 U. S. 191, 202. Here, no constitutional provision or federal statute expressly preempts Hencely’s suit. And the Court has already held that the FTCA’s combatant-activities exception does not itself apply to suits against federal contractors.
The Supreme Court's second and FINAL decision is Hencely v. Fluor. By a 6–3 vote, with Thomas writing, the court holds that a service member's lawsuit against a military contractor is NOT preempted by federal law and can move forward. This is a great outcome!

Please, Avs fans have no right to feel tense over yet another playoff run. Spoiled bums you all are
The implicit media consensus is that urban voters should not be able to overrule rural voters, but that rural voters should be able to overrule urban voters, an assumption so axiomatic and unquestionable that nobody even understands they're making it.
There’s a kind of guy who loves the idea that ordinary conservatives actually care about “fighting billionaires” and I think it’s laughable. They keep voting to make your life worse because their politics are that they don’t like you, not because they’re under the spell of a trickster political god.
I got emails about isles playoff tickets this year in the last week of the season after they had gone on a 7 game losing streak that put their tragic number to 1. These people have incredible timing
Gerrymandering is a reminder that all jurisdictional boundaries are political choices. We frequently adjust congressional districts, but we treat school districts and suburbs as naturally occurring and inviolate.
Obviously there are real differences, but it's all politically contingent and chosen.
I am convinced the Virginia freakout by the right is animated by two things: (1) the GOP has been officially hoist by their own petard (2) they still feel entitled to politically dominate Virginia like they do Georgia.
