I can leg press 240lbs but a 20 minute walk can have me close to tears and cursing with pain. My body makes no sense.

Windows sucks and the Internet has been ruined by AI.
So, I'm creating an offline backup laptop that will remain secure and full of fun things. For this, I'm finally committing to learn how Linux works. Wish me luck, for I am a Luddite Elder Millenial whose IT skills peaked in the Windows XP era.

#OtD 8 Apr 2013 former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher died. Street parties spontaneously broke out across the country. Pictured: Thatcher being welcomed to hell by one of her good friends and supporters, serial paedophile Jimmy Savile stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/1076...

This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.

Why did I lose faith in my poetry? Going through my file and there are some absolute bangers in here, that I never dared to share. I think I stopped feeling fully safe to be vulnerable, reading my heart out on stage. The scene started to feel like there were hidden sharks. Folk who wished me wrong.

I am absolutely loving this online writing festival so far. It feels so nourishing.
Regaining confidence in my craft, slowly remembering that I love writing again...

One chapter in, and already loving it. I've always felt like a "too much" kind of person, trapped in a world where minimalism is seen as the highest moral and aesthetic virtue.

Just neatly folded a king-size fitted sheet, by myself, on the first try.
This is a first and I will celebrate it.

I feel like a traitor as a weird and gay poet but... I just do not get Gertrude Stein.

Incredibly normal to be banging on the door of the Quakers repeatedly but allowing literal organisations such as Britain first to stalk homes of refugees and domestic violence survivors every weekend.

Totally normal is this government. Not worried at all.

2 weeks ago, I was in Dubai airport, just passing through. It was quiet, boring even.
I pray the whole Middle East the chance to become a genuinely, boringly peaceful place. A place where nothing much happens, people get on with their lives, go to schools and works, decide what's for dinner.

Were they usually worn strapped to the codpiece like that, or is the guy in blue just doing a risqué bit?

An open book, paperback. The page on the left is the usual way up. The next page, on the right, is completely upside down die to some kind of printing error.

Well here's a publishing accident I haven't seen before. A good chunk of this book is just completely upside-down.

I love travel, I feel a unique clarity when travelling. Especially travelling alone. However, the sitting and carrying luggage affects pain levels and I need recovery days afterwards. I feel a lot of anxiety around timetables and being on time for journeys. The run-up to travel is extremely tense.

“We have become a civilization based on work in itself. We have come to believe that men and women who do not work harder than they wish at jobs they do not particularly enjoy are bad people unworthy of love, care, or assistance from their communities. It’s as if we’ve collectively acquiesced to our own enslavement.”

So angry I wrote a song about the pedo empire and how generations of women have been harmed by an aesthetic culture created for the satisfaction of a clique of wealthy sickos. I hit adolescence during the first "diamante thongs for 12 year olds" era 🤮 the "starve yourself but buy fake tits" era 😢

Saw a book yesterday with an extra jacket, so they could fit another page of quotes into the cover. Things have gone too far, quotes have eaten into the blurb space.

Saw a rainbow from the train.
Pouring rain became mist then sun. The song on the radio in the taxi home is Gold. The clouds on the horizon are mountains and castles, immense and untouchable.

People in public facing job roles wearing Reform UK badges. Gross. I'm not asking for customer assistance from someone who wants to deport my Dad.
