The Hawthorne Effect describes how individuals modify their actions when they become aware of observation. The continuous recording ability of cell phones causes people to change their behavior because they recognize that their actions might be captured and shared on the internet.
The spread of videos and personal testimonies through social media platforms has enabled #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo to achieve social justice awareness. The system enables ordinary citizens to shape public views thus empowering them to hold leaders responsible for their actions.

The Hawthorne Effect shows its presence in this situation because people will modify their behavior when they become aware that public spaces contain recording devices. Citizen journalism increases transparency because people will face accountability for their actions in public spaces.
This means that events can be shared instantly, sometimes before major news outlets cover them, which reduces the control traditional media has over information.
QUESTION 2 (POST 5)
Citizen journalism challenges traditional media by allowing everyday people to report news as it happens, without relying on professional journalists.
The screenshot demonstrates that social media users can report events at a faster pace than traditional media outlets. The study shows how citizen journalism enables people to challenge the information control established by traditional media organizations.

Screenshot 3 (Citizen journalism example)
The example demonstrates how citizen journalism operates because a person records an event and shares it before traditional media can report the event. The evidence demonstrates that power has transitioned from experts to ordinary users.
This has played a major role in movements like #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo, where videos and personal stories spread quickly across social media and raise awareness about social injustices.
