So fun fact! This was the last drawing I ever worked on with before making some drastic art style changes in fact I didn't even finish it due to being unhappy with how it was going
I just got done drawing her in the same outfit with my new style updates and omg I am so happy with it

What I've learned is to always trust the cover of a jazz album when buying it at a record store
Bought this album because I was intrigued with the cover and what it would sound like
Overjoyed with how good it is so far lol

1. New eye style study has been going along well! Lots of fun trying to see what fits one of my characters the best
2. My best friend is gonna be shipping me my Alina plushie soon! They bought me one as a gift which was so sweet of them AUGH I love my friends

Idk I spent years trying my best pulling from different medias I loved to find my artstyle, seeing people just trace over AI slop to cheat into getting numbers pisses me off
That's always what it is for, numbers
There's no passion behind that

This is not the inspiration younger artists need, and hopefully these AI tracers will just fully go away with the recent wave of 'em getting called out

I hate the recent AI tracing stuff so much
It's not that hard to find references that aren't AI by using Pintrest or even just Google 💀
Hell even some art programs have BUILT IN references for you to use
Tracing AI doesn't help you in any way there's no studying going on there no passion either

It's not a CRAZY different change but I will add like a little note about it in whatever my next big post is so it's not like an unexplained change

I've had the same eye style since 2020 and last year I feel like I had perfected them
So it's not really surprising that I'd feel this way
In all honesty I've been meaning to do this since 2024 but never found the time so I'm happy it's happening now

Found myself not really happy with how my eyes have been looking in my art as of late
So I'm changing them! Gonna be doing different shapes depending on the character's personality! I think these somewhat simpler shapes will allow for a lot more expressiveness and whatnot

So like as I'm drawing her now I wanted to make it more apparent that her hair is supposed to be more spiky
But when I put what I have so far of the new one next to the "older" ones it feels entirely different DSFDSJFJS

Her hair spikes up a bit and it's super cute one of my favorite design traits of her :D
It represents her more energetic personality and separates her design from Violet a bit! (Also their hair gives away what personality they have which is AUGH so cool)

I've drawn Rose Naire a fair bit (working on another drawing of her) and I've had like two drawings of her I've been meaning to post from like October and November
The funniest thing about them is going back and looking at how I can never decide on how to draw her hair lol
