You only have a few minutes so work fast but safely, lest you burn tf out of your skin like an idiot like I did.
Once the syrup is a dark yellow/ light brown remove from heat and using a spoon drip half an inch dollops onto a pre sugared baking tray.
Next add one cup of sugar and one table spoon of honey along with the infusion to a new pot and begin the arduous process of making a syrup. Be warned I burned the fuck out of myself in the next step so be careful.
Next strain the mixture using a cheese cloth to extract all the good medicinal properties from the horehound. Really squeeze those herbs for all they're worth lol
Make an infusion of the herbs inside of a pot using the 2:1 ratio of water and Horehound. Simmer on low heat for roughly 10 minutes and let sit until cool.
For this recipe you will need
~ 2 Cups of Water
~ 1 Cup Dried Horehound
~ 1 Cup Sugar
~ 1 TableSpoon Honey
~ pot to boil
~ baking tray
~ confectioners Sugar
Horehounds medicinal properties have been used in one form or another since antiquity.
It can be used for minor cold and flu symptoms and helps to clear the airways.
