I know I’ve shared this #DeskGallery before but sitting up here in the Letter Writing Shed, in the stillness and calm of the evening it struck me that amid our busy lives people took time out to send something tangible and personal and lasting, and just how special that is. 💌

A tree stump with various historical events dating back to 1800 written in to correspond with the number of rings from the centre.
On this recently-felled tree in Phoenix Park, someone had counted the 225 or so rings and written a timeline of historical events it had lived through. Quite touching.

My lovely pal Actor and Broadcaster passed on into the arms of his beloved Bill last week. Hard to imagine will no longer hear his Brooklyn twang full of humour. He was a regular on The Gerry Ryan show for years. Rest in peace to the two of them.
