I struggled with Barking and Nothingness, glad Henri Scampi read it like a good boy.

(I appreciate that this is perhaps one of the most BlueSky ™️ takes ever, but still)

Obviously runs completely counter to how much of the public realm (and organisations like TfL) are meant to operate, but... could you imagine just how nice cities like London and Berlin could be with something like this?

A German election-type sign on a lamppost, with a black and white bear votif, looking stern, but playfully cute. At the top of the sign it says "Werbung?" At the bottom, below the bear, it says "Nö", with a url to the campaign in the post.

Landed in Berlin earlier, staying in Friedrichshain for a few days, and have encountered loads of these. Curious as to what on earth it's about, I looked it up, and, well, just check out the website.

I have had to throw a rice cooker away for this exact reason. Don't do it. See also: air fryers.

He's actually interested in governing but has some experience of party management. Nobody's taking him seriously as a possible candidate so nobody's worried about trying to destroy him. I'm not saying it's likely, I do think he's underpriced.

Have to brag about my equivalent of this with Liz Truss. Before Kwasi had even sat down, I put £40 on her gone as PM by the end of the year, at 40/1. Held my nerve, too. The tax-free £1,600 almost made up for the net negative cost caused by its ensuing effects!

Genuinely gutted about this. Every time I spend the night in Cambridge, I still go back and get my usual. Alas, no more.

The UK is not a papers, please society. It is a 'can you navigate a Kafkaesque thicket and/or get someone from a middle class occupation to sign your papers please society'.

Cheers Jonn, nicely done.

It's seven years since we posted on Twitter about how kids kept coming into the library asking if we had any books about FORTNITE. We didn't back then, and we'd never heard of it so we tried asking what it was.

Starting my Bsky posting experience whilst annoyingly ill, in Friedrichshain. All I'll say is, I've been following more and more people lately, and it's rekindled my love of this kind of platform.

It's nice here, I like it.
