This is exactly how I feel. I’ve never played VGC of any sort but this looked like a good time to try. It’s like my opponents waffle between “using exactly the Pokemon the game started me with” and “this is my full shiny meta team from the last world championship I won”

I spend what is likely an inordinate amount of time trying to ensure my next meal will include cheese in some way

Oh well, I guess I'll just take the perf hit for multi-pass rendering for now... Because I'm not falling down the "surely i can fix something deep in the XR internals" rabbit hole again 😛

Well, it seems to have something to do with the OpenVR render path. Multi-pass rendering doesn't display the issue, only single-pass instanced. All of the materials are using the standard shader, so it feels like that shouldn't be an issue. The OpenXR plugin doesn't seem to suffer from this either.

Any VR devs out there have any guesses as to why Unity would render nothing but a skybox to the headset? The camera preview correctly shows geometry, but somehow that never makes it to the HMD? (Video below shows me rocking the camera rotation, you can see the skybox move in the VR view.) #gamedev

And sure, it's things like this which is exactly why I used "hide my email." But I can't delete the email addresses most of the time (if I still plan to use whatever they were for in the first place,) not to mention it's just a neverending whack-a-mole as it is.
