I apologize for this oversight and want to reiterate that as a member of the United States Army Reserve use of my military rank, job titles, and photographs in uniform does not imply endorsement by the Department of the Army or DOW.

I recently became aware that my campaign mailers that included images of me in uniform were missing a required disclaimer. I immediately reported this to my chain of command and am working closely with them.

They say the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now.

Even areas with good sidewalks can be much more walkable with small, smart investments in some shade trees.

If you believe in smart, incremental solutions, vote for me on April 7th!

Finished up a long Friday knocking doors in the Zoo. I love hearing from folks and I really look forward to the opportunities St. Joe has in the years to come! Our community has a lot of potential and we have emerging leaders who are ready to harness it!

Like so many veterans, I understand that commitment extends to every facet of my life. I hope to continue serving in a new capacity after the April election and I'll need your help to make that possible!

But after all that work is done, the dishonor of those who inflicted this nightmare upon America will remain with them, forever.

We will have a fair, orderly, and humane immigration system someday. Our country and our communities will emerge from this chaos. We can and must rebuild the shining city on a hill.

Masked agents have indiscriminately grabbed people, locked them up, and shipped them to horrific foreign prisons.

Now they have ratcheted up their violence against Americans.

This administration never had any intention of doing the hard work of pursuing criminals among the millions of immigrants who have simply come here for a better life. 🧵

Have the conversation and try to work on other areas where good can be done.

I know these are difficult times, but I believe real and positive change requires long engagement and a willingness to engage in principled compromise. Have a great day!

Some policies will create so much harm and create so little good, that no compromise is possible. People, even those that usually agree with one another, may passionately disagree about what policies fall into this category and that is ok.

3. Be humble enough to believe that someone with a different world view may have an idea that can help folks and be hopeful, because views can change.

2. Identify and call out the aspects of policy that you believe will do harm and work to mitigate the harm.

1. Celebrate policy aspects that will do good and work to make them do the most good possible.

Here is something I was thinking about this morning that I wanted to share.

Most of the time, policy is about compromise. You can get some of what you want, people who hold beliefs you disagree with get something too.

Here is my approach to compromises on policy🧵

Throughout this campaign, I will continue addressing concerns identified by community members, concerns found in reports like this, concerns I discuss in face-to-face interactions, and issues brought to my attention on social media.
Happy New Year! Together, we will make it a great one!

So far during the campaign, I have had the opportunity to talk with residents and refine my positions on the issues identified in the survey.

In spring 2025, the City of St. Joseph administered a survey of resident satisfaction regarding the quality of city services.
I believe when residents speak, it’s imperative that elected officials listen.

Mass deportations don’t protect working people—they weaken labor standards, silence organizing and empower bad employers.

Flashy policy ideas disconnected from peoples' needs don't solve problems. This campaign is committed to listening and connecting St. Joe's problems to solutions that will work here and now.

Special thanks to my aunt and uncle who came out and knocked doors with me today!

We have built a society where people will break their bodies and their mental health in service of employers who will NEVER return that loyalty. People sacrifice relationships with loved ones and communities that built them up in service of a system that fails us ALL!

Any school receiving even one dime of voucher money from taxpayers should adhere to the same requirements as public schools.

Today is small business Saturday, so if you're out braving the cold and wet, choose one of St. Joe's excellent small businesses to eat out or shop at!
