Art. A map of the Mediterranean basin overlayed on top of a medieval mappa mundi (map of the world. The land features on the modern map are transparent, so you can see through to the medieval map underneath. The medieval map shows the whole world (from a particular medieval geographic perspective. On both versions, the Red Sea is drawn red. But ther are two of them. The geographies don't line up; the medieval map's Jerusalem is in located roughly in modern Albania on the modern map. * You should not go on crusade or pilgrimage with this map; it will not help.

* Perhaps you can find Eric Adams there.

I was playing with this earlier in the week, and I rather like it. A combination of the 13th C. Psalter map of the world, and a more modern (as in, I drew it this week) map of the Mediterranean basin.

Some world specific phantos. Skeleton bees, toadies, lantern ghosts and mario tanooki statues where the heads come to life. World 4 will keep the original phantos and the beezos on world 7 look like phantos so the classic phanto will remain preserved despite so many of them being swapped out.

Two more stages inspired by the deep underground maze and the foggy pink mountains from Yoshi's Island.

Altered Wart into Wario and changed the ladybug enemies to Super Mario Land 2 star enemies in one world and trilobite enemies in another. The carpet pidgets are also skeleton goonies in some worlds.

A sunset palette and snowflake enemies. Ladybugs when not on vines flicker rapidly and slowly drift down so I made them snowflakes on the snow stages.

Added in those mushroom enemies from Castle of Illusion and altered some others. The ostriches float in the water like the snakes that sit in the jars. Also flurry enemies in world 1 look like fast, mini flying carpets.

The white of Mario's eyes are a separate sprite that flash like crazy at times so I removed them leaving a more Mario 3 looking Mario.

Theres also exploding piranha plants and mario land rock guys. World 7 is now the desert stage so I can turn the conveyor belts into moving sand. The digging sand had black stripes from when I turned the original sand tile black so I made them into toplit rock tiles that now have a glowing animation

Happy Birthday! And congrats on the release! I meant to comment that a few days ago but there was a glitch where the screen went to a blank white screen any time I tried to reply or post something.

More SMB2 hack stuff. World 6 is a 2nd ice world with sinking snow instead of sand and parts of world 4 are non snowy island regions. Also added in some exploding buzzy beetles, crabs, flies and tornadoes from SMB3 as enemies.

Loading enemies into the wrong worlds leads to cool things like the pokey cactus becoming a stack of flurry enemies. Also birdo eggs wrap from the left side of the screen to the right endlessly in vertical sections and waterfall logs bounce upward off of Mario's head if he's able to stand under one.

I was hoping at least one person would call them out for being weird and rude but no. The only nice comment was something like "looks like you're having fun" which is like yeah thanks. A few screenshot did look a bit glitchy so yeah not too surprising but it was my first post and clearly overall wip

Thanks! I lost motivation when I posted it on the Romhacking forums, 0 compliments and had one person who said "I have to say a lot of these look pretty bad" then later on said "I really think you should try to find an artist to help you convey what you're trying to get across" it was miserable lol
