The ceremony will take place in Israel, with a simultaneous event in Palestine, with screenings across Israel and gatherings around the world. /5
This ceremony offers a different path. It brings Palestinian and Israeli bereaved families together in shared remembrance, not to erase difference, but to acknowledge it, and to insist that grief must not be used to prepare us for more loss. /4

The Joint Memorial Ceremony, organized by Combatants for Peace and the Parents Circle – Families Forum, takes place on Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day. Palestinian goods were sold before and after the service. We enjoyed a wonderful Palestinian lunch, and many stayed after to participate in the Palestine Land Exercise. Thank you to all involved!

What a beautiful day we had on Sunday! Thank you to our Social Justice Committee for organizing it. The service, designed and presided over by Rev. Andrea Harrison, wove together music, scripture, prayers and powerful speakers, focused on Palestine.
