Anything software project management related is good enough for me. I've worked outside games since losing my games job and didn't find it soul crushing and actually enjoyed my job. I've realzied I don't really have the burning desire to make games like a lot of other people do

Yep it's why I don't particularly wanr to be in games anymore. I'd rather be in big tech or ideally games-adjacent. Hell ill take fintech or medtech. Tech in general may not be anymore stable than games but I'd rather get laid off from a job that pays 150k vs 80k.

In my case I was working with a IP holder who just wanted things super duper simple so it worked for them.

I also genuinely love Jira but I'm a Project manager/Producer.

Have you used Teams as a Jira replacement? Did you know you can even do that? Did you know Teams has task management component where you make make a Kanban board? Definitely don't recommend.

It's a big reason why I'm not particularly trying to get back into games and why I feel out of place when I go to networking events. I just don't care about gamedev enough to work on side projects over doing my other hobbies/my social life
