I'm sorry.
That was unfortunately everyday shit in bars and restaurants I worked in too. 🤬
I'm tail end Gen X. The amount of misogynistic and predatory behaviour that I had to fight was absolutely appalling.
So much casual assault. If you fought back you were blamed for whatever the outcome, considered completely disposable.
Contrary to public perception a huge % of pregnant teenagers in the 1990s were impregnated by adult men. The younger they were, the larger the average age gap between mother and father was. Fixing teen pregnancy was in part a clampdown on statutory rape. That's what conservatives want to reverse.
It absolutely is. I'm 7+ years sober. I would have utterly failed at protecting myself and my family from the pandemic if I was still drinking.
Effective 2025 federal tax rates paid by these corporations:
Alphabet: 8.01%
AT&T: 4.6%
Meta: 3.57%
General Motors: 3.09%
Amazon: 1.37%
Exxon Mobil: 1.31%
Disney: -1.57%
CVS Health: -3.88%
Income tax rate paid by the typical American: 14.5%
This is what a rigged system looks like.
Congratulations on your sobriety. It's hard work.

The whole thing about Democrats searching for a winning message for the midterms is infuriating because it is staring them in the face:
Rule of Law — People who do illegal shit should face consequences.
For insider trading. For illegal wars. For ignoring court orders. For being a pedophile.
Danielle Smith: Alberta is responsible for how justice is delivered in this province but has no direct role in appointing the judges who serve on our courts. Those judges make decisions that affect Albertans every day, and they should understand the communities and province they serve. Alberta is calling for a constitutional amendment to give the province a formal role in superior court appointments. We are calling on all parties and Members of Parliament to support it. See more details of our proposed legislation here: Graphic: Alberta proposed constitutional amendment on judicial appointments ✅Judges appointed from Alberta-selected candidates ✅Alberta gets a say in King's Bench and Court of Appeal appointments
This is ridiculous.
1) Good luck opening that Pandora's Box.
2) Alberta already appoints provincial court judges, which handle the bulk of criminal cases.
3) The premise here is utterly false. Federally-appointed judges aren't parachuted in. They come from the province and communities they serve.

‼️Ford has announced almost $300 million for 61 new private surgical and diagnostic clinics. By Ford's own #'s, this will redirect 1.2 million patients away from public hospitals. This is truly unprecedented privatization of our public hospitals'‼️‼️
A literal bunker?
I'm so sorry for your loss.
🫂💙 I lost mine in November and I still find myself crying quietly at 3 am a few nights every week.
