It's very confusing; one minute he's the pope, next he's the pope's employer, then claims he's a doctor
Everyone else is wondering what planet the president is on... 👾

I rather like the way Abaddon seems to be dangling from some supports, like a pantomime elf swinging above the stage....

Dorothy Burnham on a screenshot of The Historymakers. Still alive, born in 1915 and turns 111 today
An essay by Dorothy Burnham in the Freedomways Journal titled "Biology and Gender: False Theories About Women and Blacks, No. I, 1977.
(A scientist, Dorothy Burnham was a student activist in Brooklyn and in 1940 joined the staff of the Southern Negro Youth Congress.)
She is/was also a microbiologist
You've never heard her name before, but there was once an organization called the Southern Negro Youth Congress where she and her husband Louis Burnham met in the 1930s.
She's one of those radical Black activists whose name is only known in revolutionary spaces.

Kill Chain
On the automated bureaucratic machinery that killed 175 children
How Palantir, not Anthropic, led US bombs to kill 175 civilians, mostly 7-12yo girls, in a school in Minab, Iran on Feb 28. How embedding automation - not LLMs in this case, just image processing and sensor fusion - in military workflows mutes human judgment, causes errors, & diverts accountability.

The danger of flying rings to seals: a young campaigner’s advice
A flying ring killed a seal I saw – now I’m campaigning to stop them being sold
On International Day of the Seal, Amaya Edwards would like everyone to think careful about the beach toys they take.
Flying rings cause immense harm.
A seal's fur grows in such a way, that once the inquisitive seal has pushed its head through, it will never come off without human intervention.

Netanyahu "Iran has loads of missiles that can hit Europe so they should attack Iran."
Is he stupid?
Does he think we are stupid?
That's clearly a reason NOT to attack Iran.

Not banned – just gone: what Manchester’s missing books reveal about England’s schools
Books removed from a Manchester school raise a bigger question: who decides what children are allowed to read?
A school quietly removes books on race, identity and LGBTQ+ themes.
No announcement. No clear explanation.
