Stonewall, famously the name of a meek and courteous supplication
And we couldn't assume that it wouldn't be never - so this is great news.

Yes I am writing that article that condenses all my threads but also pulling in a shitload more condemning details and trying to file off the rough edges
But I feel it needs doing, futile or not
Currently tracing through the use of the word "gallstones" in the NICE, York, and NHS England Specialized Commissioning review of gender-affirming hormone therapy (and elsewhere)
Very informative in showing how the anti-trans machinery works to conjure up health scare phantoms out of nowhere
This "interesting" notion of "what if we set up psych/social interventions as alternatives to medical care" seems to be taken pretty much from the PICO for the original NICE review, btw

There needs to be forthright condemnation of Stonewall's new chair'svsucking up to Rowling from her predecessors and a majority of the organisation's leading figures. This betrayal of trans people is utterly unforgivable cowardice.
The appeal to "nature" is the siren song of fascism. It is the insidious lie of the so-called "transcendent" order that seeks to place humanity in its demented thrall, the idea that our desire and need to shape our world and our selves, which itself springs from nature, is somehow not "nature"
Well call me suspicious but
I wouldn't underprice this possibility. Last year, the idea of Labour being banned from Pride seemed fanciful. Then everyone did it.
Barring Stonewall from Pride would be an unprecedented and defiant move and, I think, a welcome one.

Opinion: Kezia Dugdale, the new chair of Stonewall, defends JK Rowling and transphobic activists. She has to go.

An org named after a riot proudly stating they want a kinder quieter debate is a real sign of it being successfully quelled
Each new chair of Stonewall seems further out of step with the times to the point where it has been effectively transphobic for several years now
But praising Rowling in this way is a new low, an actual gut punch

I WEAR A UNIFORM AND PACK A GUN BUT I'M STILL A WOMAN (Part 1) Whicker undertakes a risky assignment, hurtling around San Francisco in the back of a police car. The cops are women, fully armed and determined to prove they are worthy of the blue uniform. PLEASE NOTE, this episode contains some strong language. Directed by David Greene Originally transmitted 16 April 1980 IF A COP WIGGLED AROUND WITH PINK HAIR AND A LIMP WRIST, IT WOULD DISCREDIT THE DEPARTMENT (Part 2) San Francisco's 150,000 homosexuals are the city's largest unofficial minority. The Police Department has become the first in the US to knowingly recruit gay officers. Whicker gives an exclusive view of the first gay officers training and going on patrol. Produced and Directed by David Greene Originally transmitted 16 April 1980
The incessant “gender critical” sneering at “trans activists with blue hair” has firm roots in old-school homophobia as the title of this 1980 Whicker’s World episode makes abundantly clear
