At the doctor today, I mentioned watching the stadium presser, and the nurse asked, โWhere will people park?โ
She now knows the question is โHow do I get there without driving?โ
(Donโt worry, I was nice.)

Will be 1.3 miles from our house. Can ride streetcar or walk. Hoping businesses here offer shuttles to the stadium like they do in StL.
Think they'll consider re-working that weird crossover intersection near the new stadium now?
Fully expecting the Royals to announce tomorrow that they will bulldoze the Crown Center ice skating rink, Kaleidoscope, Hallmark Visitors Center, Children's Mercy Hospital, and the Western Auto building in order to make room for their new stadium district. #RoyalsPR
Big news, Kansas City! The #kcstreetcar Riverfront Extension officially opens for passenger service on Monday, May 18 & youโre invited to celebrate with us at 11 a.m. on the riverfront! More details soon.
I am fully in favor of the downtown stadium.
I am also convinced that public financing for stadiums is among the worst impositions on American taxpayersโa crime, reallyโperpetrated by legislators and team owners in collaboration.
Thrilled that we're getting downtown baseball along the streetcar-bus-Amtrak lines, but I still hope bars and restaurants farther away (River Market, Midtown, 18th @ Vine, Plaza, NKC) run shuttles to and from the stadium. This is common practice in St. Louis.

Carroll County, Missouri, resident tellin' it like it is.
I'm a college football and professional soccer fan. Why am I pretending to like baseball with this team?
Booooooooooooooo!
I miss the days when pitchers who were on a roll continued pitching until they were clearly out of gas. Starters and relievers. So much more fun.
April 21, KCMO will conduct an emergency preparedness drill at the Liberty Memorial to prep for the FIFA Fan Festival.
Expect:
โข Loud noises
โข Helicopter activity
โข Police, fire, and EMS vehicles and personnel
โข Volunteers with professional makeup portraying individuals in crisis situations
FYI
Seems *high* ๐จ
I canโt not see this as a woman sitting front her computer.
Your wholesome moment of joy for today.
Yes, there is a reason why you should vote for progressives and people who actually want to help solve problems instead of the old guard dudes who just collect checks from wealthy donors. Direct your votes to the right people. Bend the Democratic Party in the direction that helps YOU the taxpayer.
Yeah, there's plenty of room in the space, but I don't think a symmetrical stadium should be a demand considering the space. In fact, other than fountains, I hope the stadium looks nothing like the K.
1973 Royals Stadium was gorgeous. 2026 Kauffman Stadium is not.
John Sherman says the new ballpark should be symmetrical (good luck in that space), include fountains (absolutely), and bring from Kauffman the crown scoreboard (no thanks).
I don't follow golf, barely know what LIV, haven't heard the news that Alex is apparently referencing, AND I KNEW THIS WAS SARCASM.
Very cool, but did they do any market testing on that "Twike" name?
Looking south on Broadway from Linwood Boulevard on an early spring day.
A city street sign reads "33Rd St," with the "r" inexplicably capitalized.
As former editor, it bothers me that this sign reads as "33 Road Street."
Are other street signs in KC like this and I never noticed?
When this Trump nightmare is over, Mizzou better have it at the top of their list to restore funding, or Iโll be making some funding cuts of my own.
He scared to answer.

Problem is, the Democratic field is crowded, so the vote is getting split. Meanwhile, two Republicans are leading.
Do the math. If we donโt get our shit together, we could end up with two Republicans and zero Democrats on the general ballot.
The bluest state in the countryโฆ goes red.
Rendering by BNIM of the proposed Downtown stadium for the Kansas City Royals alongside the text: The question for Kansas City isnโt โWhere do we park?โ The question is โHow do we get there without driving?โ
Tim, were you the one who recently said something to the effect of "The question isn't where do we park, the question is how do we get there without driving."?
I wanna steal that and pin it.
Yeah, I have to keep a profile so I can manage my employer's social media account, so I see the Royals stuff.
I saw one suburbanite opposed to the location say, "Is it safe?"
I don't respond; I just hope they choose to watch the games at their local Applebee's and leave the downtown fun to us.
If only the 9th Street Deli were still open. ๐ข
Yeah, I eye-balled the distance between the stadium and my house, and as the crow flies, it's under 6 miles.
Couldn't believe I heard it from inside my house.
