Bat Conservation International is announcing a new line of bat-themed board games, available as of April 1st, 2026 😜 The category is always just bats 🤷

DNA analysis from bats' droppings in China found the most common insects consumed by insectivorous bats were mosquitoes, moths, and beetles (moths and beetles are two of the most common agricultural pests).
Moreover, they found bats consumed more pests than beneficial insects! *crunch*

Greater bulldog bats (𝘕𝘰𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘴) are one of just two bat species that subsist almost entirely on fish 😮🐟
They use their disproportionately large feet to catch fish mid-flight. However, their diet varies seasonally, so they may also eat insects, shrimp, crabs, and scorpions.
