You're right that life feels confusing for a lot of people right now... People rush to social media to talk about their flaws, and I think this gives people the illusion of being self-aware. At the end of the day, though, it's just people talking about their flaws without actually changing them lol

You're totally right that student breaks are a great time for self-reflection! By understanding what worked vs what didn't and why, we can make adjustments accordingly. This is great advice for maximizing your chances of academic success. Thanks for sharing!

Good tips Hope! Thanks for sharing. I’ve personally never gone hiking before but I’ll be sure to refer to your blog if I ever do :)

Out of curiosity, what’s your favorite hiking spot?

Thanks for sharing Bernadette! Being able to zone in on homework while away for games definitely sounds challenging. Kudos to you for developing a system that works!

Very informative writeup, Karanveer! I especially liked the section on the Kepler telescope. Crazy to think it found over 2,600 exoplanets in our galaxy alone. Makes you wonder what's out there that we haven't found yet 🤯

"Right now my assignments are my only relationship." 🤣

I can definitely relate to this LOL... It would sure be nice to find a partner and get married, but a bitttt hard to focus on that with all the stress from school 😂

Sounds like you had a great experience in the Soo while coming to study abroad! I'm only taking courses at Algoma remotely so it's definitely cool to hear what the experience was like from someone who was there in-person. Good for you for making the best of it!

This is all great advice Joie! I like how you mention using a calendar to help manage your time — personally, using a dry-erase calendar to keep up with deadlines was a game changer for me.

P.s is that your dog in the picture?! Such a cutie!

Picking the Right Type of School: Traditional vs. Online

3/3) Online schooling offers flexibility but requires much self-discipline. With no in-person lectures, it's important to stay motivated and fill your knowledge gaps on your own.

2/3) Traditional schooling offers numerous advantages over online courses: asking professors questions in real time, networking face-to-face, and making study groups with friends to stay motivated.

I learned best in-person, and was also able to secure my first IT role by networking w/ a prof.

1/3) As a returning student, choosing between traditional and online schooling is arguably the most important decision you'll make in your educational journey.

Here's what I learned from doing both 👇

Thankss for watching Hailey, I’m glad that particular tip stuck with you! You don’t need to even be a returning student to apply it either!

Never stop believing in yourself! Confidence can take you places you never thought were possible.

Big fan of your video format (definitely not biased 😂)!

As someone who’s been in quite the reading slump, I really like your first tip! The idea of reading a whole novel can sound intimidating if you’re in a slump, but starting small with an article or a blog post must really help ease into things!

As a CS student, I love this video! Obfuscation is key to protecting source code for applications. Did you know that technically speaking, any obfuscated code can be reverse-engineered though 👀

Thanks Rayyan! Exactly right — I think this is something many people fail to realize due to cultural expectations, unfortunately.

Glad you enjoyed!

Thanks Maike! Exactly, age especially is so irrelevant. There’s no age limit on learning :)

I’m glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!!

Great advice and great video format! I really like how you recorded yourself doing relevant activities and included that in your video. Good job @maikebassin.bsky.social!
