News of the snowstorms in England reminded me of my trip there in 2012 when it snowed heavily. We were at the Hilton near Buckingham Palace and I went out early with my camera to see the winter wonderland that had appeared!

We've had a lot of rainy weather here in Houston so I tend to play around indoors with photography. This is a macro shot of water drops on the recording side of a DVD. It's lit with a small LED wand flashlight.

Here's some pelicans I photographed yesterday down along the San Jacinto River here in NE Houston. Overcast day and they were a good distance out but my Canon RF 200-800mm lens helped me get some nice images.
