Screenshot of mxtoolbox.com showing the nameservers for NIH.gov as down, dates 5:09:33 pm EST, March 1 2024
The nameservers allowing Internet users to find NIH.gov and cancer.gov resources appear to be down. This has happened at other agencies, and what follows has never been good.

National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Official website of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). NIH is one of the world's foremost medical research centers. An agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the NIH is the Federal focal point for health and medical research. The NIH website offers health information for the public, scientists, researchers, medical professionals, patients, educators, and students. The Site has extensive information on funding and training opportunities, clinical trials, health news and links to the many Institutes and Centers that make-up the NIH.
I can't access NIH.gov or cancer.gov. if they took down the nameservers, some people will be able to access them for a while until their DNS caches refresh. But the nameservers are definitely down

I am really outdone. The Maryland National Guard cannot celebrate Frederick Douglass, the state’s native son and perhaps the greatest American this nation ever produced, because he’s Black and his chosen birthday happened to fall during Black History Month. (Ask me why he had to choose is b-day)

SPJ Decries AP’s Ongoing Exclusion From White House Events
Society of Professional Journalists, improving and protecting journalism since 1909
"Every American should be concerned when those in power attempt to reshape media access to serve their own interests. Press access should not depend on whether those in power approve of the questions being asked or the words chosen to convey the information."

Frederick County currently has approximately 4,700 federal employees. If Trump's EO to slow federal hiring stands, that could result in more than 3,000 jobs being lost in the county over time.

The Treasury Department right now. People are turning out against Musk and DOGE staging a takeover of the Treasury’s payment system. This crowd is big. The whole block is packed. “Lock him up,” everyone yells.

Trump says that "for the most part," Elon Musk has his approval to shut down government agencies, mass fire employees, and take over payment systems.
"If there was something that didn't have my OK, I'd let you know really fast."
He adds Musk "would know not to" have any conflicts of interest.

Trump’s Border Czar Whines That Many Immigrants Are Smarter Than ICE
Tom Homan is upset that ICE’s raids in Chicago aren’t as bad as they could be because many people know their rights.
Chicago's "know your rights" campaign is working and keeping more people out of detention than otherwise. These people can be opposed, can be fought, and can be stopped. So we have to oppose, fight, and stop them.
