As we come together to cheer on our friends and family this marathon Monday, we remember the spirit of this day 250 years ago–the first battles of our fight for freedom, and the origin of our revolutionary spirit. I'm proud to celebrate and fight with you to protect our democracy.

A great cause and a great group. Thank you all!
Donald Trump is lying to you.
My father was a union leader. I grew up to be a United States Senator. I believe in the American Dream. But right now, the system is rigged in favor of CEO billionaires. We need to tax the rich and make that dream possible for everyone—not just the wealthy few.
This Tax Day, billionaires are getting richer while working people struggle to get by.
We need to stop putting wealth over work and pass my Equal Tax Act now.
Boston Herald: Markey: No special treatment for wealth over work.
It’s no secret: the system is rigged to benefit the ultra-wealthy instead of working people. It’s past time we fix it.
On One Boston Day, we honor the lives lost in the Boston Marathon Bombing and the courage shown on April 15th, 2013.
Today, we celebrate the strength and compassion of our community in the aftermath of tragedy.
We're stronger together.
It's times like these that bring out the Massachusetts in me.
We're in the fight of our lives. I'm down in DC, making the enemies you would make, and standing for the values you stand for every day.

Proud to work with @ayannapressley to lead 183 of our colleagues in filing an amicus brief at the Supreme Court. We have to stop Trump’s attacks on our Haitian neighbors and friends.

The election this November is monumental –and the energy in Massachusetts is too. Proud to join so many friends and supporters this weekend in Brockton.
We will not stand idly by while ICE terrorizes our neighbors and our communities.
We will not stand by while this administration makes a mockery of our laws and Constitution.
Abolish ICE now.
Happy 413 Day! There’s no place like Western Massachusetts, and I am grateful to partner with the people and institutions that make it special.

We don't agonize–we ORGANIZE.
Right now, nurses across America are on the front lines, protecting immigrants and standing up for democracy. Great to see the Mass Nurses Association down in DC as we continue the fight against ICE and MAGA.

The Washington Post: Sen. Edward J. Markey: Make tariff refunds automatic "We cannot let Trump get away with stiffing Main Street–especially as small businesses grapple with skyrocketing gas prices, health care costs and energy rates amid the war with Iran. To make things right, the Trump administration should establish an automatic system for refunding tariffs to American businesses. This administration must be held accountable for imposing illegal tariffs. I will fight alongside small businesses and families to ensure it returns every last cent."
Americans deserve to be compensated for what they lost from Trump's illegal tariffs. End of story.
I'm calling for accountability: automatic tariff refunds to all American businesses.
Our nation is at a moral crossroads.
Trump asked Congress for over 1 trillion to fund the Department of Defense and his war of choice. To get it, MAGA Republicans want to defund childcare. Healthcare. Education.
I won't stand for that.
Boston.com: Sen. Markey, local clergy call for end to Iran war and Trump’s time in office "Sen. Ed Markey joined Boston clergy and peace activists Wednesday afternoon to call for an end to U.S. involvement in the war with Iran and urged Congress to remove President Donald Trump from office. Speaking at The Embrace memorial on Boston Common, Markey condemned Trump’s recent rhetoric toward Iran, including a warning that “a whole civilization will die,” which the president posted on Truth Social Tuesday night. "
I was honored to be joined yesterday by Boston clergy leaders and Mass Peace Action in the shadow of the Embrace. In this alarming time, I'm grateful for leadership and resilience from our local activists calling for peace.
Chaos and destruction are not the answer.
We need diplomatic solutions–not a war criminal in the Oval Office.
